Farming Simulator 22 [FS22]: Best Tractors to Drive

Farming Simulator 22 is finally here, and with it comes a whole host of tractors to drive; these are the very best tractors in the game.

A vital aspect of the Farming Simulator game series is the tractors that you drive. Some will be better than others, and contrary to popular belief, you might not need a large tractor to get most of your work done.

So, to help you work efficiently and effectively, these are the best tractors that you can get your hands on in Farm Sim 22.

1. John Deere 4755

John Deere is one of the most recognisable tractor brands in the whole world, and it’s only natural that their products appear in Farm Sim 22.

The 4755 is a good, all-around medium tractor that won’t set you back too much when it comes to your bank balance. Its top speed of 35 kph isn’t going to set the world on fire, but that’s not the point of a tractor. It’s the perfect machine for a medium-sized farm.

2. JCB Fastrac 4220

You might remember that a JCB tractor appeared in the tractor episode of BBC’s Top Gear, and it was certainly fast. So too is the Fastrac 4220 in Farming Simulator 22.

With a top speed of 60 kph, it’s certainly going to get to its destination quickly enough. It has a variable CVT transmission, a 235 hp engine, and is an ideal vehicle if you start to expand your farming business.

3. Deutz Fahr Series 8 TTV

Deutz Fahr might not be a tractor brand that many people have heard of, but that doesn’t mean that they don’t produce great vehicles. The Series 8 TTV is the top tractor that you can buy in the medium tractors sector in Farming Sim 22.

It’s a powerful machine at 287 hp, so it can tow plenty and pull some pretty big equipment, rivalling some of the large segment tractors. Just be certain that you need this tractor as it costs €236,000 in the game.

4. Claas Axion 960-920

You might remember that in Clarkson’s Farm on Amazon Prime, Kaleb has a Claas, and for a good reason. Claas tractors are reliable, dependable machines that will do practically anything that you ask of them, and in Farm Sim 22, you’ll find this Claas to be one of the best tractors in the game.

The Axion 960-920 is a large tractor, packing in 325 to 445 hp. It will shift much of the large equipment, such as seeders and ploughs, across the farm. Also, for a large tractor, it doesn’t cost too much to acquire in-game either.

5. New Holland T8 Genesis Series

New Holland is another top-class tractor maker in real life, and they make a great choice if you want one of the best tractors in Farm Sim 22.

The T8 Genesis Series is another large tractor. With 351 to 435 hp on offer, depending on how you spec it out, it boasts more than enough towing capacity. New Holland tractors are smooth to drive and very, very dependable machines. Plus, they are some of the best looking too.

6. Claas Arion 660-610

We have to give a shoutout to another Claas tractor here. This time, the Arion 660-610 makes it onto the list of the best tractors in Farm Sim 22. This is the top small tractor that you can buy in Farming Sim 22, and even as you start to grow your farm, the Arion 660-610 remains a great tractor to have.

It can pull some slightly larger pieces of equipment around and is worth having on your farm for perhaps those smaller fields where medium and large tractors are just a bit too much.

7. JCB Fastrac 8330

Finally, we have another JCB: the Fastrac 8330. With a top speed of 70 kph, this large tractor is one of the fastest in Farming Simulator 22. The fact that it can pull a lot of heavy loads and equipment makes it even better.

You won’t need all of that speed when farming, but the 348 hp is good enough to haul the larger pieces of farming equipment, and you won’t cause too much traffic to pile up as you head off to sell your stock.

These are certainly some of the best tractors that you can get your hands on in Farming Simulator 22. Each has its merits, and really you won’t go wrong with any of them. Still, there is plenty to choose from in the game, so don’t be afraid to shop around!
