Ciro Immobile, 87 OVR (ST)

Ciro Immobile is well travelled; in his professional career the Torre Annunziata native has featured for nine different clubs across three continents. But his last four campaigns have been with Lazio in Serie A where he has been excellent.

Last season, Immobile was superb in front of goal, firing in 36 goals in 37 Serie A appearances as he secured the golden boot for the third time in the Italian top flight.

To say Immobile will be dangerous in FIFA 21 is an understatement. His 93 positioning and 90 reactions make him a menace in the box. For many players, his 93 finishing is crucial when looking for a striker who will deliver in front of goal.

Unsurprisingly, up top is the best position for Immobile. Provide him service and you will quickly reap the rewards.

Giorgio Chiellini, 87 OVR (CB)

It would be hard to find a more consistent performer in Serie A over the last decade than Giorgio Chiellini. The 36-year old has long been a mainstay for Juventus, where he has played his football since 2005, making 512 appearances for the club in all competitions.

Despite this, Champions League glory has eluded the Juventus captain. But perhaps this season will be the year that changes for the Turin side, who have assembled a strong squad.

In FIFA 21, Chiellini is a player you might not get too much out of in a career mode, with the Italian now 26. Unless, of course, you play as Piemonte Calcio (Juventus) that is. Either way, Chiellini has great defensive traits, 94 marking, 90 standing tackle and 90 aggression.

In the short-term, he would improve just about any defence, so Chiellini may well be worth the risk.

Marco Verratti, 86 OVR (CM)

Marco Verratti probably doesn’t get enough recognition for what he brings to Paris Saint-Germain. That is perhaps understandable when he has Neymar and Kylian Mbappé in his team, but Verratti’s eight years with the French side have been immensely successful.

Last season, Verratti featured 20 times in a shortened Ligue 1 campaign, playing an in important role in PSG winning a third-consecutive league title.

In Verratti, players will get a midfielder who is excellent on the ball and reliable when the game is in the balance. His 94 composure showcases this, as well as having 94 rated balance and 91 agility.

Verratti is best used as a number eight, but he can also pitch in as a defensive midfielder when needed.

Gianluigi Donnarumma, 85 OVR (GK)

It is fairly astonishing to think that Gianluigi Donnarumma is still only 21, despite having been a consistent feature between the sticks for AC Milan since 2015. But the Italian made his debut aged just 16, becoming the second-youngest goalkeeper to start a match in Serie A in the process.

Donnarumma is one of the best goalkeepers in Italian football at the moment, with his consistency and shot-stopping ability having bailed Milan out of trouble more than once in recent years.

The Italian has strong goalkeeping stats and will undoubtedly have the potential to improve his rating in a career mode. That makes him an attractive proposition, considering he already has stats as high as 89 goalkeeper diving, 89 goalkeeper reflexes and 83 goalkeeper positioning.

The sky is the limit with Donnarumma on the field, with the only real question is whether or not you see him as your keeper of choice.

Lorenzo Insigne has been a consistent performer for Napoli for almost a decade now. His ability to score critical goals and provide his teammates with opportunities has secured the 29-year old’s place in the starting 11.

While his goal scoring has slowed down somewhat over the past few years, after he managed 18goals in the 2016/17 season, Insigne still contributed eight goals and six assists in 37 appearances last season.

If you are looking for a winger who is agile and strong on the ball, look no further than Insigne. With a 93 rating in agility, balance and ball control, Insigne can create all kinds of havoc.

Players intending to bring the Italian into their squad should look to integrate him into a 4-3-3 system. His speed and agility will make him a real asset in the final third.
