FIFA 21: Real Madrid Player Ratings

Discover what ratings your favourite Los Blancos stars have in FIFA 21.

Real Madrid’s recent history is one of the storied club’s most decorated spells, with the only blip coming alongside Zinedine Zidane’s brief departure. The Frenchman led Los Blancos to three consecutive Champions League titles – being the first manager to achieve that feat – and the La Liga title.

Citing a need for change when leaving at the end of the 2017/18 season, Zidane couldn’t have been more wrong. He returned less than a year later, going on to steer Real Madrid to the La Liga title last season, making full use of his incredibly talented squad.

Once again the champions of Spain and with a relentless world-class boss at the helm again, Real Madrid are poised to go big in domestic and European contests this season, with their FIFA 21 ratings reflecting as much.

At the base of the page, you can find the player ratings of all of Real Madrid’s stars, but first, we’re taking a closer look at the team’s best goalkeeper, defender, midfielder, and forwards.

Thibaut Courtois (89 OVR)

Nationality: Belgian
Best Position: GK
Age: 28
Overall Rating: 89
Weak Foot: Three-Star
Best Attributes: 89 Goalkeeper Handling, 88 Goalkeeper Reflexes, 85 Goalkeeper Positioning

Standing at a lanky 6’5’’ and looking more agile than ever, Thibaut Courtois truly came into his own as a Real Madrid goalie last season.

Playing 43 games, the Belgian kept 21 clean sheets and only allowed 32 shots to hit the back of his net, never conceding more than two in one league game, and only allowing multiple goals on three La Liga occasions.

Just a couple of OVR points back of the best goalie in FIFA 21, Courtois’ only weakness is his distribution, with a relatively low 74 goalkeeper kicking rating.

Across all other goalie ratings, however, the Belgian is top-class, boasting 89 goalkeeper handling, 84 goalkeeper diving, 88 goalkeeper reflexes, and 85 goalkeeper positioning.

Sergio Ramos (89 OVR)

Nationality: Spanish
Best Position: CB
Age: 34
Overall Rating: 89
Weak Foot: Three-Star
Best Attributes: 93 Jumping, 92 Reactions, 92 Penalties

With 172 caps for Spain, 651 appearances for Real Madrid, a World Cup, two European Championships, four Champions League trophies, and five La Liga titles, Sergio Ramos has done it all.

There’s very little, if anything, left for the stalwart captain to achieve at 34-years-old, but he’s bound to keep battling for more and more accolades, likely breaching the 100-goal mark for Real Madrid at some point this season.

While FIFA 21 has made Ramos distinctly immobile, with fairly low ratings for acceleration, sprint speed, balance, stamina, and a medium defensive work rate, his other attributes more than compensate for these dips.

Ramos continues to be an effective CB in the game, standing as one of the best centre backs thanks to his 92 reactions, 88 composure, 88 interceptions, 92 heading accuracy, 93 jumping, 90 sliding tackle, 88 standing tackle, 85 marking, and 90 aggression.

Casemiro (89 OVR)

Nationality: Brazilian
Best Position: CDM
Age: 28
Overall Rating: 89
Weak Foot: Three-Star
Best Attributes: 91 Aggression, 91 Strength, 90 Stamina

Very much playing as the engine of Zinedine Zidane’s side, Casemiro is always on his toes, looking to snuff-out any advances that threaten to reach the backline.

The Brazilian defensive midfielder is coming off of another stellar season for Real Madrid, featuring in all-but five games and even putting up five goals and five assists.

FIFA 21 has rightly given Casemiro a high attacking work rate and high defensive work rate, which are bolstered by the midfield powerhouse’s 90 stamina, 91 strength, 87 jumping, and 91 aggression.

Along with his physicality, the best CDM in the game also features 88 shot power, 81 long shots, 84 short passing, 84 long passing, 87 interceptions, 88 standing tackle, 87 sliding tackle, and 84 marking.

Karim Benzema (89 OVR)

Nationality: French
Best Position: CF
Age: 32
Overall Rating: 89
Skill Moves: Four-Star
Best Attributes: 91 Heading Accuracy, 91 Reactions, 90 Ball Control

It’s a shame that Karim Benzema’s transgressions put an end to his national career at 27 goals in 81 games as he’s transformed into a dominant centre forward – perfect for feeding speedy and skilful wingers and capitalising on crosses.

Benzema came through the Olympique Lyonnais ranks with the moniker of ‘wonderkid,’ set to be a top goalscorer for years. While Zidane has moulded him into much more of a team player, the Frenchman still reeled in 27 goals and set-up 11 more last season.

FIFA 21 rates the Lyon-native as the game’s best centre forward, with an 89 OVR that sits him among the very best ST and CF players of Career Mode.

Not known so much for his work rate, Benzema’s top attribute ratings make him the perfect target man, as shown by his 91 heading accuracy, 91 reactions, 90 ball control, 90 composure, 86 short passing, 90 positioning, and 88 finishing.

Eden Hazard (88 OVR)

Nationality: Belgian
Best Position: LW
Age: 29
Overall Rating: 88
Skill Moves: Four-Star
Best Attributes: 93 Dribbling, 93 Balance, 92 Agility

Eden Hazard signed off on his extended stay at Chelsea in style, getting 21 goals and 17 assists in the 2018/19 season, finally securing his long-awaited move to Los Blancos.

However, in the prime of his career and raring to go, his inaugural season as a Real Madrid player saw the crafty winger suffer an onslaught of major injuries, holding him back to just 22 appearances, one goal, and seven assists.

Hazard predictably saw his OVR drop coming into FIFA 21, but what is quite strange is his skill moves rating of four-star, given the Belgian’s incredible ability on the ball.

The Real Madrid winger still features plenty of very user-friendly attribute ratings, though, highlighted by his 93 dribbling, 92 agility, 91 acceleration, 86 vision, 91 ball control, and 90 composure.
