GTA 6 Will be Unlike Anything You’ve Seen Before

GTA 6 Will be Unlike Anything You’ve Seen Before

GTA 6 will be unlike anything you’ve ever seen before, says the CEO of Rockstar Games. Can you believe that GTA 5 was released almost ten years ago? It was surely ahead of its time, but the novelty has since worn off. Don’t get us wrong, it’s an excellent game with so much depth and accurate physics, but it’s getting old now. Rockstar Games has spent so much time developing GTA 6 that expectations are sky-high, which is not a good thing.

However, if you’re to believe the CEO’s word, then you’re in for a treat. Most things will stay the same though like single-player mode that doesn’t require an internet connection. You’ll need internet for the multiplayer or online mode after you purchase the game. The game is not released yet, but keeping in mind the requirements of the heavy titles, we recommend using a super-fast internet connection with a reliable customer support, like CenturyLink customer service for instance, so you don’t have to worry about consistent internet connectivity.

Despite the tall claims, you should take the word of the CEO of a game-developing company with a grain of salt. It’s literally his job to hype up the product. Let’s get into everything we know about GTA 6 so far.

Release date

There is no definitive release date for GTA 6, but the hype has been gradually building up. It’s more complicated than you think. Even though GTA 5 is old, it’s still one of the bestselling games of all time. This trend is expected to continue well into the next year. Since GTA 6 is a major release for Rockstar Games, they might try to release it after the demand for GTA 5 goes down a bit.

You also have to take into account the statement of Take-Two Interactive CEO, who said, they’re seeking perfection with GTA 6. This much-eluded perfection might very well postpone the release date.

GTA 6 leak

Rockstar Games had been quietly working on the GTA 6 until last year’s massive leak. Reportedly, the leak originated from an internal communication group hosted on Slack. A teenager was also arrested in connection to the leak. He’s suspected of being involved with the hacker group Lasus$, which is long suspected of orchestrating cyber-attacks against Microsoft, Cisco, Samsung, Nvidia, Okta, and Uber.

The leak contains more than an hour-long footage of GTA 6 gameplay. The CEO expressed concern over the leak but also clarified that they’re on track for a timely launch. He also claimed that they’ll still exceed expectations and GTA 6 will be as close to perfection as it can get.

GTA Online vs GTA 6

One of the contributory reasons for the delay in the launch of GTA 6 is the popularity of GTA Online and GTA 5. They’ve sold more than 170 million units of GTA 5 since its launch, which is remarkable. They also released Red Dead Redemption and Red Dead Redemption 2, both of which have been a massive success. Those games have sold more than 70 million units, which is no joke.

It’s quite likely that if they were to release GTA 6 now, the sales of GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption will plummet. The other reason is GTA Online which uses micro-transactions using Shark Cards. Players can purchase these Shark Cards with real-world money and use these cards in the game to acquire different upgrades. Red Dead Redemption 2 also features in-game purchases, which are a massive source of income for Take-Two, the parent company behind Rockstar Games.

The legacy and expectations

Ever since the launch of the first GTA game, every game has been released after a break, never this long though. Every successive game has changed the landscape of the video gaming industry up until GTA 5. Now, it’s GTA 6’s turn, and the stakes have never been higher. This comes at a time when some other game developers have started to put out some great titles like Breath of the Wild etc.

It’s been almost 10 years since GTA 5 launched in 2013, and the tech landscape has come a long way since. It will be interesting to see how GTA 6 fares in this landscape, where we already have powerful gaming consoles like PS5.

On top of that, games like Red Dead Redemption 2 where artificial intelligence is used to drive the story. The AI mimics the expression and reactions of different animals and NPCs. It even learns from the conversations and generates more tailored responses every time. It’s thought to be one of the most advanced games in terms of AI usage. It was released in 2018, and that too was almost five years ago.

Conclusion

Fans fully expect GTA 6 to revolutionize the gaming industry just like its predecessors. As stated earlier, exceeding expectations, making something perfect, and surpassing the likes of Watch Dogs, Breath of the Wild is a tall order. Adding more details and better physics principles doesn’t cut it anymore. Here’s to hoping that the release of GTA 6 is a valuable addition to the gaming community.
