Maneater: Shadow Tail (Tail Evolution)

Find all of the details for the Shadow Tail evolution in the shark RPG Maneater.

Shadow Tail

The Shadow Tail is one of the tail evolutions that you can apply to your bull shark in Maneater.

Unlocked by finding all of the landmarks in Prosperity Sands, the Shadow Tail evolution is a part of the Shadow Set, which increases your maximum speed.

Shadow Tail Official Description

“This evolution allows you to launch a ball of poison from your tail when you tailwhip.”

How to Unlock the Shadow Tail

To unlock the Shadow Tail evolution, you need to visit Prosperity Sands and hit all of the signposts by the landmarks in the area.

In Prosperity Sands, you can find ten landmarks. When you’re swimming close by – how close you need to be depends on if you use an upgraded Advanced Sonar – you can see the signposts show up in orange when you activate your sonar (Layout 1: O or B).

Once you’ve found a landmark, you need to attack its signpost to trigger a short clip.

Here’s where to find all of the landmark locations in Prosperity Sands to unlock the Shadow Tail:

Shadow Tail Parameter Boosts

Equipping a Tier 5 Shadow Tail will grant passive effects and could bring in benefits from adding to your Shadow Set, but on its own, the tail evolution also gives these ratings parameter boosts:

  • +5 Speed
  • +7 Damage

Each parameter is made up of 20 sections, each of which contains five points. So, adding an evolution that boosts a rating by +5 will fill equal to one section.
