NBA 2K23: Tallest Players

Having tall players is one of the ways to boss the game in NBA 2K23. Here are the tallest players in the game.

One of the most important physical factors in basketball is being tall. Having a height advantage will play in your favour, especially in a league with an average player height of six feet. That is why tall players with good skills are always highly coveted in NBA2K23.

However, not all of the tallest players – like with the shortest players – see many minutes. This doesn’t mean that they still can’t add value to your team. Having at least one seven-footer as a backup big is always a smart move.

Tallest players in NBA 2K23

The list below includes the tallest players in NBA 2K23. Because of their height, very few of the tallest players in 2K23 play anything other than center, with those few able to play the four as well. Players will be listed from tallest to “shortest.”

1. Boban Marjanović (7’3”)

Team: Houston Rockets
Overall: 73
Position:
Best Stats: 95 Standing Dunk, 88 Defensive Rebound, 83 Close Shot

Boban Marjanović is the joint tallest player available in NBA 2K23. The 7’3’’ Serbian was playing for Dallas before being traded as a part of the Chris Wood deal to the Houston Rockets during the offseason.

Marjanović is an interior finisher with 95 Standing Dunk and 83 Close Shot. The 34-year-old is also no slouch on defense with his 88 Defensive Rebound and 73 Interior Defense, allowing him to excel on either end of the court.

Marjanović has a career line of 5.9 points per game (PPG) and 3.8 rebounds per game (RPG) in 9.2 minutes per game (MPG). Marjanović is well-beloved by players and fans alike, including the former “Bobi and Tobi Show” with Tobias Harris, a teammate of Marjanović’s with Los Angeles (Clippers) and Philadelphia.

2. Kristaps Porziņģis (7’3”)

Team: Washington Wizards
Overall: 85
Position: C/PF
Best Stats: 90 Standing Dunk, 85 Block, 85 Close Shot

Along with Marjanović is Kristaps Porziņģis, who also stands at 7’3’’ although the “Unicorn” has seen far more playing time in his career. Porziņģis just arrived in Washington after an unfortunate injury-filled stint with the Dallas Mavericks.

Porziņģis is an impressive shooter for such a tall player, possessing 80 Mid-Range Shot and a decent 73 Three-Point Shot. He can also be dangerous in the post with his 88 Post Fade. The Latvian is also a rock on defense with 85 Block and 83 Defensive Rebounding.

Porziņģis began his career with much fanfare in New York before a torn ACL wiped his 2018-2019 season, his last with the Knicks. He was traded to Dallas that offseason, but fell victim to injuries again in 2021-2022. He hopes to replicate his early success with the Wizards as the second to Bradley Beal.

3. Moses Brown (7’2”)

Team: Los Angeles Clippers
Overall: 72
Position:
Best Stats: 85 Defensive Rebound, 83 Offensive Rebound, 81 Block

At just 22 years of age, Moses Brown stands at 7’2’’ and is a promising young talent of the Clippers after several stints with Portland, Oklahoma City, and Cleveland. In his fourth year, the young big man hopes to finally put it all together in his new home of Los Angeles.

Brown is a problem for offensive players as he has 85 Defensive Rebound and 81 Block. In attack, the young center often contributes with his 83 Offensive Rebound and 75 Stamina to keep up with fast-paced games.

On his fourth team in four years, Brown looks to increase from his career 14.1 MPG, which has helped him record 6.0 PPG and 5.8 RPG. He also has a combined 1.1 STOCK (steals plus blocks) for his career. Brown’s length makes him a threat down low and in passing lanes.

4. Bol Bol (7’2”)

Team: Orlando Magic
Overall: 71
Position: PF, C
Best Stats: 85 Standing Dunk, 79 Block, 79 Mid-Range Shot

Next on the list is Bol Bol, a 7’2’’ power forward and secondary center looking to breakout with Orlando after showing flashes in limited time with Denver during his first three years. The fan-favorite joins a Magic team that has been in a rebuild since the departure of Dwight Howard after the 2011-2012 season.

The 22-year-old often delivers points with his 85 Standing Dunk, 78 Three-Point Shot, and 79 Mid-Range Shot. Defense-wise his game revolves around his 78 Block which is perfect when combined with his 7’2’’ stature.

The son of the late Manute Bol was never going to receive much time with the Nuggets with two-time Most Valuable Player Nikola Jokić leading the team. Bol was only able to average 6.2 MPG in Denver, with 2.7 PPG and 1.2 RPG.

5. Luke Kornet (7’2”)

Team: Boston Celtics
Overall: 70
Position:
Best Stats: 85 Stamina, 85 Hustle, 85 Hands

With a height of 7’2’’ Luke Kornet seeks to fulfill his talent shown in college with Vanderbilt. A member of the Boston Celtics, Kornet holds the NCAA record for most threes made by a seven-footer with 150.

Kornet is an ideal tall player with 85 Hands, 83 Free Throw, and a fairly decent 75 Standing Dunk. He’s also able to play long minutes with his 85 Stamina and 85 Hustle.

While Kornet’s college success hasn’t translated at the professional level, there’s still hope and you could possibly develop him into a 80+ OVR center. He’s averaged 5.5 PPG and 2.6 RPG with 1.0 threes on three attempts a game over 14.3 MPG.

6. Rudy Gobert (7’1”)

Team: Minnesota Timberwolves
Overall: 88
Position:
Best Stats: 98 Defensive Rebound, 97 Interior Defence, 95 Standing Dunk

Rudy Gobert is one of the best players on this list. He is not the tallest player with 7’1’’ height, but has won the NBA Defensive Player of the Year three times and is widely considered the best interior defender in the NBA – though Joel Embiid would beg to differ. Gobert has also made six All-Defensive teams.

Possessing 98 Defensive Rebound and 87 Interior Defense, Gobert is a nightmare for any offensive player. On top of his defensive prowess, his attack compliments him well with 92 Close Shot and 95 Standing Dunk. He’s great for the pick and roll and nabbing easy put backs after offensive rebounds.

The longtime Utah center now finds himself in Minnesota after an offseason trade (Utah traded away its other star in Donovan Mitchell as well). The “Stifle Tower” has averaged 12.4 PPG, 11.7 RPG, and a gaudy 2.2 blocks per game (BPG). His effective field goal percentage is 65.3 as most of his attempts come in the paint.

If you want a defensive anchor who can score an easy two down low, then Gobert is your man.

7. Jakob Poeltl (7’1”)

Team: San Antonio Spurs
Overall: 78
Position:
Best Stats: 97 Close Shot, 89 Offensive Rebound, 85 Block

Standing at 7’1’’ is the Austrian Jakob Poeltl, a complete package of a traditional big with both offensive and defensive skills. Poeltl was first drafted by Toronto Raptors in 2016 and made the move to San Antonio as part of the Kawhi Leonard trade after the 2017-2018 season.

Poeltl is dangerous at offense with his 97 Close Shot, 79 Mid-Range Shot, and 89 Offensive Rebound, which makes him an ideal pick and roll or mid-range pick and pop partner. The Austrian can also contribute on defense with his 81 Interior Defense and 85 Block.

Poeltl has averaged 7.3 PPG and 6.1 RPG in 20.2 MPG over his six seasons. He’s also averaged 1.3 BPG and has an effective field goal percentage of 62.8.
