New Pokémon Snap: How to Complete ‘Resting Its Wings’ Request for Professor Mirror

Here’s where you can grab a shot of the sleeping Yanmega to complete the ‘Resting Its Wings’ request in New Pokémon Snap.

Requests are a core feature of New Pokémon Snap, and while they don’t yield particularly good rewards, they do tend to point you in the right direction for higher star grade photos.

One of the requests that can be done relatively early in the game is ‘Resting Its Wings,’ assigned to you by Professor Mirror. The request states that they want to see a Yanmega when it’s resting.

It’s not difficult to get this snap when you know where to look, and below, you can find out exactly where the resting Yanmega spot is in New Pokémon Snap.

Where can you see Yanmega resting in New Pokémon Snap?

The ‘Resting Its Wings’ request guides you towards snapping a three-star photo of Yanmega, with the request needing you to go to the Founja Jungle on the Jungle (Night) route.

To see the request, go to the main menu screen, press Y, and then select ‘All Requests’ with A. Next, press Y to bring up the filters and select ‘Belusylva’ to find ‘Resting Its Wings.’

While it’s found quite early along the path, you don’t have many chances to snap the photo, so you’ll want to be looking up and zoomed in almost as soon as you start the Jungle (Night) route.

How to complete the ‘Resting Its Wings’ request in New Pokémon Snap

Finding a resting Yanmega can be done just a few seconds into the Jungle (Night) route, with the Pokémon sleeping up in the trees.

As you can see below, you need to look up and to the right just after you go under the fallen tree to spot the Yanmega.

With the Yanmega staying still, it’s easy to snap the three-star photos. However, to make the most of the opportunity, you’ll want to follow the maximum points tips to get a high colour grade for the stars.

At the end of the route, you’ll need to submit the photo of the resting Yanmega to Professor Mirror for judgement. When you do this, you’ll also complete the request.

Next, all that you’ll need to do is return to the Requests page and select ‘Resting Its Wings’ to get the reward for finishing the request.

Now you know where to snap a picture of a resting Yanmega. Further down the Jungle (Night) path, at Research Level 2, you could also complete the ‘An Unusual Spot’ request offered by Todd.
