Stay up-to-date with the latest patch and update news for F1 22

The latest update 1.18 for the game F1 22 is now available on all platforms. The patch notes include various bug fixes and improvements that will make the gameplay experience even smoother and more enjoyable.

Bug fixes

An issue where time trial leaderboards were not loading when switching between dry and rain variants on Origin and Xbox has been fixed. Furthermore, the lack of opponent avatars in the Career and My Team modes has been fixed. Another issue that occurred in some cases was that a wrong champion was crowned when drivers finished the season with the same number of points in My Team. In addition, various minor bugs were fixed, and general stability improvements were made.

Alfa Romeo C43 livery

A real-life livery in an actual F1® game is available for the first time. Alfa Romeo’s C43 livery has been added to the game and features an eye-catching red and black design. This livery will be driven by Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu in the 2023 season and is an evolution of last year’s model, which finished sixth in the Constructors’ Championship.

Max Verstappen signs with EA SPORTS™

EA SPORTS™ has announced a partnership with two-time Formula 1® World Champion Max Verstappen. Verstappen will be featured across the EA SPORTS™ portfolio and will create content for the upcoming year. The EA SPORTS logo will be featured on the chin of Max’s helmet for the 2023 F1® season.

Little gaming tip: F2 as an alternative to F1

Did you know that in F1 22 it is possible to compete not only in Formula 1, but also in Formula 2? The F2 cars offer more traction and don’t quite reach the top speed of the premier class, but they are easier to drive. The races are shorter and the rules are simpler. In the career mode, you can initially opt for a Formula 2 season to get used to the speed and feel of the game.

Update 1.18 for F1 22 brings bug fixes and stability improvements that contribute to an even better gaming experience. EA SPORTS™‘ new partnership with Max Verstappen and the addition of Alfa Romeo’s C43 livery make the game even more attractive for fans of the F1® World Championship.
