It was originally seen as a bit of a rubbish game by many, but Farming Simulator has become one of the most relaxing and enjoyable simulator titles of recent years, impressing many with just how in-depth into the farming world it goes.
Farming Simulator 19 was the last major release in the series, but now Farming Simulator 22 is on the horizon. So, to get you clued in for the upcoming game, here are some of the things that we already know about Farming Sim 22.
Farming Simulator 22 will have next-gen graphics
Unsurprisingly, given that it has been a long time since the last iteration of Farming Sim, the next edition of the game will feature some much more detailed graphics.
This is because the game will be available on the latest gaming consoles – the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X – and, of course, Windows PC.
The game will still be released on the previous generation of consoles, just without the extra detail and frame rate performance that you will get on the new consoles and an upgraded PC.
Get ready for a wide variety of crops, machines, and more
Farming Simulator 19 was certainly an extensive game and one of the best releases, if not the best release, of the series so far. Still, Farming Simulator 22 looks set to improve on that immensely.
Farming Sim 22 will have over 400 authentic machines and tools for the player to use and choose from, with over 100 agricultural brands represented; so, there will certainly not be a shortage of content.
Those figures are before we factor in any DLC packs that get released, as well as any exclusive content that comes from deluxe edition packs.
There is already something on offer for those that want to pre-order the game, too. Every person who pre-orders Farming Simulator 22 will get the CLAAS XERION SADDLE TRAC pack for free when the game either downloads or arrives in the post, so that’s certainly an incentive to get the game before its 22 November 2021 launch.
Production chains and new maps are coming in Farming Simulator 22
With a new game comes some exciting new features, with production chains looking set to be a major player in Farming Sim 22.
To start things off, there will be new building types, shops, and businesses in the game, but on top of the buildings already on the map, you’ll be able to build your own to further expand your farming business.
A bakery is one of the businesses that will form a part of this new production line. Alongside this building, you’ll have to use places such as the grain mill, dairy, or sugar mill to generate the most income.
Beyond that, new maps are also one of the major new attractions. In the previous editions of Farming Simulator, there would always be a map set in the United States, and in Farming Sim 22, there’s going to be a brand new US map by the name of Elmcreek.
It’s based on the Midwest region of the United States, offering many cornfields and vast open spaces to enable you to build up your farming business.
While not a tremendous amount of information has been released yet for the new game, there is still plenty here to get us excited ahead of its release later this year. Farming Sim 22 looks set to be a massive visual and gameplay improvement over the previous title, which was still pretty good.
Farming Simulator 22 will release on 22 November of this year, and we can’t wait to get our hands on it.
