Pokémon Legends: Arceus – Scarlet and Violet’s Teal Mask

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet’s Teal Mask DLC could bring back a beloved feature from Legends: Arceus. With this DLC, players will be able to travel to the Kitakami region, which is full of new Pokémon and unique fashion options. With a focus on Japanese clothing and character customization, the DLC could benefit from Hisui’s offerings.

More fashion options

The base Pokemon Scarlet and Violet games offered players disappointingly few fashion options. Clothing stores were limited to accessories, and trainers’ customization options were limited by narrative restrictions. However, the DLC “The Teal Mask” could be a successful continuation of the customization design of Legends: Arceus. With patterned clothing and unique accessories, a wider range of expression can be achieved.

The journey begins

In Part 1 of the DLC, The Teal Mask, the player is selected as one of the students to participate in an annual school trip together with another school. The journey takes them to the land of Kitakami, where large mountain towers over the landscape and people live beneath the mountain. It is a place of tranquility and natural vastness, with rice fields and apple orchards – a new and different experience compared to the Paldea region.

A festival in Kitakami

The trip seems to collide with a festival that is regularly held in the village of Kitakami at this time of year. The village is therefore full of different street vendors and stalls. Players will meet new friends and Pokémon while discovering the secrets of the folk tales of this region.
