What to expect from the Scarlet Nexus gameplay

Fight as a psionic warrior and slay deranged mutants called ‘The Others.’ The monsters in the game are interesting and have unique features, giving many of them a disturbing look.
While you’ll have access to your usual weapon types, like swords, the big thing in this game is the psychic abilities. Use them to manipulate the surroundings, lifting, breaking, and throwing objects to defeat enemies. The combat also looks to be very combo-driven, which will make it even more entertaining.
Both of the protagonists, Kasane and Yuito, have the Psychokinesis power, and their companions have different types of powers, like invisibility and duplication. As combos seem to be key, there is a chance that you will be able to pull-off cool combos together with these companion characters, making your companion choice important, but this is yet to be confirmed.
From the trailers, the action looks great, with crazy monsters and combos to offer a thrilling experience. The addition of special effects, like purple light, during the fights makes combat look spectacular and fun.
What’s the story of Scarlet Nexus?

Scarlet Nexus is a futuristic game, where the discovery of a psionic hormone in the human brain has led to people getting extra-sensory powers, psychic abilities. At the same time, mutants began appearing from the sky, with a hunger for human brains.
These mutants are called ‘Others,’ and regular methods of attack are not effective against them. So, new measures had to be taken, leading to the training of psionic warriors to fight the invaders.
The new Bandai game features a dual story that intertwines through the protagonists, Kasane Randall and Yuito Sumeragi. You will be able to play both of them to experience the full story and to see both characters’ perspective of the unfolding events.
Kasane and Yuito are in the Other Suppression Force (OSF), which is humanity’s last line of defence against the Others. The warriors in OSF all have different psychic abilities, enabling them to combat the invading mutants.
The little information known about Yuito says that he is from a prestigious political family and is an energetic recruit. His father is the leader of the current government, and his brother is also in the OSF.
There is more information about Kasane due to the release of her story trailer, seen below. As the game’s launch nears, there is a high possibility that there will be one for Yuito as well.
While Yuito might be more of a public figure, Kasane is a mysterious scout with a great deal of power and skill who was scouted by the OSF. Her parents were killed by Others when she was young, leading to her being adopted by the Randalls, who runs a big military corporation.
She has several companions with unique abilities helping her out during her journey: to where that is, though, is unclear. It seems that she, for some reason, wants to get rid of Yuito, which is a big part of why their stories intertwine.
Bandai building an expanded franchise

Bandai Namco Studios delivered well with their previous anime-looking game, Code Vein, introducing some new ideas to create an original-feeling experience, and hopefully, Scarlet Nexus will be even better.
To add to the multi-tiered, multi-platform release structure of various editions, there are also plans for an anime series to go with this new Scarlet Nexus franchise.
As relayed by Geek Tyrant, Funimation has announced that the streaming platform will have the Scarlet Nexus anime this summer, potentially tying it in with the release of the game.
Are you going to pick up this visually-stunning action-JRPG this summer? Either way, it’s going to be fun to see what Bandai Namco does with their new franchise going forward.
