Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart: How to Get Past the Blue Screen Doors

You can’t get around them or find a side door in, so how do you get past the blue screen doors in Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart?

Almost as soon as you finish the Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart prologue and enter the first open area of Corson V, you’ll encounter some inaccessible blue screen doors.

Robots can go in and out, and you’ll even see some bolt-stuffed crates and Raritanium inside, but the doors buzz and turn red if you try to walk through. So, how do you get past the blue screen doors?

Warning: light story spoilers ahead!

How do you get through the blue screen doors in Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart?

To get through the blue screen doors in Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, you’ll need to learn how to Phantom Dash. So first, you’ll need to progress along the core story objective of ‘Find Clank.’

This will take you to Club Nefarious, en route to which you’ll spot another blue screen door, require you to ‘Follow the Phantom,’ and then complete a task for the Resistance member.

After completing these objectives, Phantom will give you an upgrade to your Omniglove to teach you a new move, known as the Phantom Dash, which allows you to dash forwards, quickly dodge to the side, and perform an air dash.

The Phantom Dash is also your way of getting behind the blue screen doors. Go up to one and press the Phantom Dash button (O on default controls) to phase through it and reap the rewards kept on the other side of the barrier.

There you have it: now you know how to get past those teasing blue screen doors and loot loads of extra crates for bolts and Raritanium.
