Available to those who purchased Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart before its release, the Pixelizer is the game’s pre-order bonus weapon, becoming the Pixelizer HD at Level 5.
While you don’t need to purchase the Pixelizer from the Vendor, you do need to go to the storefront robot (identified by the green icon on the map) to upgrade the weapon.

Using the Pixelizer enough for it to reach Level 5 will transform it into the Pixelizer HD, which has 44 blue upgrade cells for you to purchase with Raritanium.

The Pixelizer HD is a single-shot weapon that shoots a flat wall of pixels that, in turn, pixelizes all enemies that it hits. You can charge up the shot to fire a larger wall of pixels. What makes the Pixelizer unique is that it changes the state of enemies that it hits, making them retro and pixelated in sound and appearance.
