Rogue Heroes Ruins of Tasos: How to Get Mud Boots Guide

Wondering how to get across the sinking mud of Rogue Heroes: Ruins of Tasos? Here’s your quick guide to getting the Mud Boots.

To get to each new area on the map of Rogue Heroes: Ruins of Tasos, you tend to need a specialist tool or to solve a puzzle of some sort.

Once you’ve crossed the bridge to the west of Intori Village with the Grappling Hook, you’ll soon find that you need another tool to head south and further west in Crumwell Swamp.

So, here’s your quick guide to acquiring the Mud Boots tool to help you get across some of the narrower stretches of mud in the swamps.

How to commence the Mud Boots quest in Rogue Heroes

For your hero to know that they need Mud Boots to cross the swamps, you must first find a character by the name of Tyro, who’s found looking across the stretch of mud to the south.

To get to Tyro, you’ll need to cross the bridge to the Crumwell Swamp and then head south, down a slope and over some mud paths, as shown on the map below:

After speaking to Tyro, you’ll be informed that someone in Intori Village wears “a pretty nice pair of boots” and that you should ask him if you can use the Mud Boots.

Where’s the man with the Mud Boots in Rogue Heroes?

To find the man with the Mud Boots in Rogue Heroes: Ruins of Tasos, you’ll need to return to Intori Village and venture into your clinic.

That said, if you haven’t built the Intori Clinic yet, you’ll need to go to Griff’s Workshop and have it built for 120 gems.

Having entered the clinic, you’ll need to go through the doors to the left of the two nurses and head towards the back room. Here, you’ll meet Carlos, whose daughter is ill and needs medicine.

Carlos will commission you to go in search of a specific type of mushroom that’s only available in the Tasian swamp. So, you need to go and acquire said mushroom and bring it back to acquire the Mud Boots.

The mushroom is found in the most northwest section of the swamps, as shown on the map above, in a location called the ‘Shrine of Ganudoerma.’

Once you’ve made your way to the shrine, go to the giant mushroom and interact with it to take a piece of the Ganudoerma. Now, all that you need to do is return to Carlos, give him the Ganudoerma, and you’ll receive the Mud Boots.

How to cross the swamps in Rogue Heroes

While the Mud Boots are a useful and necessary tool for progressing along your adventure in Rogue Heroes: Ruins of Tasos, they aren’t the ultimate mud-traversal tool available.

You’ll find that, even with the Mud Boots (which are automatically equipped to your hero in one of the gear slots), you can’t go very far across the mud. Most of the time, you’ll need to use your leap ability to make it over the narrow stretches.

Without going into any spoilers, what you need to do next is head to Mire Town and speak to Rytiro in one of the huts.

They will inform you that some Skulletons have taken hostages in Croaker Caverns, which will set you on a quest that leads to the ultimate mud-crossing tool in Rogue Heroes.

Now you know how to get Mud Boots in Rogue Heroes: Ruins of Tasos, as well as how to start the next part of your journey to enhance your mud-surfing abilities.
