Known for the hilarious ragdoll physics-based battles that you can create from factions across the ages, Totally Accurate Battle Simulator has earned quite the following while working its way through early access.
Presently available via Steam and Xbox One consoles in its early access form, the Landfall Games creation is nearing its full release and launch on the PlayStation 4 and the Nintendo Switch.
Late 2020 pencilled in for the full TABS release date
The development team – who have also created the likes of Air Brawl and Clustertruck – have been adding updates and tweaking the game since its alpha in 2016. Following the latest faction update, Wild West, Landfall announced the game’s new roadmap.
In a post on their Steam Community page, they revealed that two more updates are to arrive between July and September.
Update 0.12.0 is said to feature “some long-anticipated units” as well as “maybe the return of a revamped beloved map.”
With 0.13.0, the incredibly exciting Unit Creator will launch, gifting even more creativity to the players – even though there are already over 70 units to find across ten factions.
To finish up 2020, Totally Accurate Battle Simulator will initiate the full 1.0 release of the game, which includes some new features, another faction, achievements, PC Twitch integration, and localisation.
Totally Accurate Battle Simulator set for PS4 and Switch releases
The updates don’t stop there for TABS, though, with the title that allows you to pit samurai against mammoths and gunslingers against valkyrie planning to hit the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in 2021.
In the community post, Landfall also eluded to there being even more post-release content as well as some “cool secret stuff.”
As it stands, you can still experience Totally Accurate Battle Simulator in its early access form for £11.39 on Steam, as a part of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, or via a free trial on the Microsoft store.
