For the second time since going live for early access, a new WWE 2K23 update is on the way to address a handful of bugs that have lingered after launch. WWE 2K23 update 1.03 patch notes arrived back on March 15, 2023.

That initial hotfix was relatively light on details with some stability fixes and minor Create a Superstar and object interaction improvements. Fortunately, the official WWE 2K23 update 1.04 patch notes from the WWE 2K Discord have given us a good bit more to look forward to.

Here are the full WWE 2K23 update 1.04 patch notes:

    • Addressed reported concerns of a crash that may occur within Create-A-Superstar when customizing for an extended period of time
    • Addressed reported concerns regarding memory-related crashes that may occur on PlayStation 5 and PC
    • Addressed reported exploits within MyFACTION
    • Addressed a reported issue in MyRISE where players would be sent back to the main menu instead of continuing a storyline

With the deployment of this update still on the way, download size is not yet known. The relatively minimal Version 1.03 hotfix was around 1.39 GB on some platforms but seemingly 5.2 GB or more on PC and PS4. With more fixes in Version 1.04, it’s likely the download size will be more substantial.

While the patch notes were confirmed in the WWE 2K Discord, they stopped short of confirming an exact release date and time for the update. However, it’s unlikely they’ll have announced the details too far in advance of update deployment.

Most likely, WWE 2K23 update 1.04 will deploy by the end of the day on March 23, 2023 across most platforms. If things are a bit later than that, a full deployment on Friday, March 24, 2023 feels like the latest possible release window.

What does WWE 2K23 version 1.04 mean for MyRISE and MyFACTION?

WWE 2K23 Update 1-04 Patch Notes MyFACTION

The two biggest potential impacts from the deployment of WWE 2K23 update 1.04 are likely to be in MyRISE and MyFACTION. The good news is that MyRISE players used to being booted back to the main menu could finally have some relief, as this update should remedy that bug.

However, some MyFACTION players will be sad to know an existing exploit has been closed. While the details of the exploit were not disclosed by 2K, players have already reacted by indicating the Faction Wars trophy may have been easier to acquire prior to the closure of this exploit.

Players will likely continue to locate new ways to grind effectively and quickly in MyFACTION, but anything that gets a bit too effective in a way 2K didn’t intend is likely to be patched out in a future update. While the exact effects won’t be known until it deploys, the WWE 2K23 update 1.04 patch notes have at least given players a good idea of what to expect when their game updates.
