The Apex Legends Global Series (ALGS) Pro League 2024 is gearing up for an exciting launch on January 21. This event marks the fourth installment of the series. This time around, 30 teams from four key regions are set to battle it out. The teams will arrive from North America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Asia-Pacific North, and Asia-Pacific South.
They’re all eyeing a piece of the substantial $4 million prize pool. While we’re still waiting for the exact dates and locations of the playoffs to be announced, the excitement is already building up!
Countdown to the Championship
The 2024 season of the ALGS Pro League kicks off with Split 1 on January 21, setting the stage for intense competition. Teams will battle it out to secure their spot in the playoffs and ultimately aim to clinch the championship trophy.
The prestigious ALGS Global Championships are slated for September 2024, promising an epic finale to a season of high-stakes gameplay.
Global Mix of Competitors
Though not all regions have been confirmed, it’s expected that the first Split will see teams from a diverse range of countries, including the USA, Slovenia, the United Kingdom, Sweden, France, Russia, Japan, South Korea, and Australia. A notable addition in 2024 is the participation of teams from China.
Confirmed teams include N9ne Lies from Florida, The Boys from France, 202 from the United Kingdom, 40%Worse from the EU, Akuma from Australia, and Players from Russia. In a significant change, the Pro League format for South America has been discontinued.
High-Stakes LAN Events
The Split 1 Playoffs, boasting a $1 million prize pool, along with the Split 2 Playoffs and the year-end Championship (with a $2 million prize pool), are set to be held as LAN events. This year’s series will feature more regions than ever, with 40 teams competing in both the playoffs and the championship.
The champion team stands to win $600,000, but there’s more at stake with league prizes up for grabs. Second and third place will earn $320,000 and $210,000 respectively. Even lower-ranked teams won’t leave empty-handed
Prize Money for Every Milestone
The last team eligible for a championship prize, even if placed 20th, will still walk away with $18,000. This ensures that every team that makes it to the championship has a chance to earn significant rewards.
Additionally, teams can increase their winnings if they have performed well throughout the league, making every round and victory count towards their journey to the championship league.
