The start of the PC beta test for Arknights: Endfield, has been announced by publisher GRYPHLINE. It’s a real-time 3D RPG set in the world of Talos-II. The closed beta introduces a variety of new content, including playable characters, refined combat mechanics, expanded character progression, and base-building features. The game is planned for release on PC, mobile, and PlayStation 5.

Key Features of the Beta
The beta provides select players with the opportunity to explore Talos-II through nine maps and a reworked main storyline. Additional gameplay features include new puzzle mechanics, dungeons, and expanded base-building capabilities, such as the ability to construct factories and defensive structures in new outpost areas.
New Playable Characters
The beta includes six new playable characters, in addition to those featured in earlier tests, for a total of 15 characters. Updates to character models, animations, and special effects are also included. Some of the featured characters are:
- Perlica: Supervisor of Endfield Industries and key contributor to the Automated Industry Complex (AIC) project.
- Chen Qianyu: A combat specialist with martial arts training.
- Wulfgard: A stealth-oriented mercenary skilled in reconnaissance operations.
- Da Pan: A versatile worker and chef with recognition from the Hongshan Academy of Sciences.
- Lifeng: A young guard with a prosthetic arm and experience in the Wuling City Guards.
Combat and Progression Updates
The combat system has been refined based on feedback from earlier tests. New features include:
- Combo Skills: Characters can perform joint attacks under specific conditions.
- Dodge Mechanic: Adds reactive gameplay elements to combat.
- Skill Adjustments: Effects and activation logic for skills have been revised.
- Consumable Items: Updates to the use of items like potions during battles.
Character progression has also been expanded, offering more depth and customization.
Base-Building Enhancements
The beta introduces changes to the base-building system, including new tutorials and advanced mechanics. Key updates include:
- Defensive Structures: Tower-defense-style buildings for strategic gameplay.
- Expanded Construction Areas: Factories can now be built in multiple areas beyond the central hub.
