Dino Crisis PC Relaunch: Play Dino Crisis 1 & 2 on Modern Systems!

Dino Fans! The Classic Chaos Returns on PC

If you’ve been waiting for a Dino Crisis PC revival, the wait is over! Capcom has finally re-released Dino Crisis 1 & 2 on GOG with modern enhancements.

A Quick Jurassic Recap for the Uninitiated

For those who somehow missed out on this prehistoric party, Dino Crisis first roared onto the PlayStation back in 1999, thanks to the legendary Shinji Mikami—yep, the same mastermind behind Resident Evil. Think of it as Resident Evil, but swap out zombies for scientifically questionable dinosaur resurrection, and you’ve got the idea.

Then came Dino Crisis 2 in 2000, which cranked up the action and dialed down the horror. And in 2003? Well… Capcom gave us Dino Crisis 3, an Xbox-exclusive that yeeted dinosaurs into space. (We don’t talk about that one.)

Despite the series going extinct after that, fans have been begging Capcom for a proper reboot—so much so that a poll last year confirmed Dino Crisis as the top franchise people want to see resurrected. But alas, Capcom has left us stranded in the jungle, with even creator Shinji Mikami admitting he doesn’t think there’s much room for a Dino Crisis revival, thanks to Monster Hunter stealing the giant-creature spotlight.

Capcom might not be giving us a new game, but they’re throwing us a juicy bone. Thanks to a partnership with GOG, both Dino Crisis and Dino Crisis 2 are back, ready to chomp down on modern-day machines. And the best part? They’re DRM-free, so no digital chains holding these dinos down!

What’s New in the PC Versions?

    Dino Crisis PC Game

Both games now come with fancy upgrades to make sure your nostalgia trip isn’t interrupted by early 2000s technical nightmares:

    • Windows 10 & 11 Support – Because let’s be honest, getting old PC games to run used to be an absolute nightmare.
    • 4K Resolution Support – Because blurry pixels belong in the past, not in your terrifying dinosaur encounters.
    • Enhanced DirectX Rendering – Graphics so smooth, even a raptor would stop to admire them.
    • New In-Game Options – Including V-Sync, gamma correction, and anti-aliasing to keep things looking crisp.
    • Stability and Save Fixes – Because the only thing scarier than being chased by a T-Rex is losing your save file.
    • Modern Controller Support – No more fighting with clunky controls like it’s still 1999.

On top of all that, Dino Crisis 1 includes its Original Mode, Arrange Mode, and even the Operation Wipe Out mode from the OG PC port.
