EA Sports FC 24 (FIFA 24) Early Ratings Predictions

Check out who we reckon could be in with the top ten highest-rated players in EA Sports FC 24.

EA Sports FC Ratings Predictions

What was once to be FIFA 24 will now be released as EA Sports FC 24 with a date now set for September 29, 2023. EA Sports FC 24, as detailed by previews, is going to be almost exactly the same as FIFA 23 so the loss of the FIFA naming rights doesn’t appear to have done much other than save the multi-billion company millions.

That said, a couple of things that we know will be arriving in EA Sports FC 24 are new stadium features and new player ratings. The updated ratings are the primary driving force for annual sales, so there’s a lot of interest in seeing how the numbers swing pre-release. Here are our early ratings predictions for EASFC24.

1. Erling Haaland (93 OVR)

Erling Haaland came to the Premier League as one of the most highly-touted young strikers in the world, but few expected him to explode on the stats sheet quite as he did for Manchester City in his first season of English football. En route to powering the club to the ever-elusive treble, he scored 52 goals and nine assists in 53 games.

The “Striking Viking” put up numbers that would have otherwise only been seen before in a FIFA – or rather, an EA Sports FC – game. Ending last season with a 90 OVR and 94 POT, given the success of the Norwegian and the club, Haaland is bound to be one of the best in the game at launch, potentially at 93 OVR.

2. Kylian Mbappé (92 OVR)

The 24-year-old Frenchman certainly didn’t have a poor season. Helping to lead his country to the World Cup Final, he’d also score 41 goals and ten assists in 43 games en route to winning Ligue 1 with Paris Saint-Germain. However, in club football – which greatly influences ratings – Kylian Mbappé is narrowly on a lower tier to Haaland.

While Haaland will boast tremendous Sprint Speed and Strength, Mbappé will almost certainly have even greater Acceleration and Sprint Speed, so he will potentially be more user-friendly than his striking peer. He ended FIFA 23 with a 92 OVR, and he seems destined to hold onto that rating for EA Sports FC 24.

3. Kevin De Bruyne (92 OVR)

Belgium’s World Cup hopes may have gone up in flames as though covered in petrol next to an active volcano, but Kevin De Bruyne has just enjoyed one of the best seasons of his career in his discipline as a designated playmaker. Feeding Haaland constantly, De Bruyne put up 31 assists and ten goals in 49 games.

He was impeccable in the middle of the park and even though he’s now 32-years-old, he only seems to be getting better at picking out those perfect passes. KDB ended FIFA 23 with a 91 OVR, having reached his Potential rating. After being pivotal to City winning the treble, surely De Bruyne will get a boost to 92 OVR.

4. Alexia Putellas (91 OVR)

Earlier this year, Alexia Putellas won the UEFA Women’s Player of the Year, Ballon d’Or Féminin, and FIFA’s Best Women’s Player, which marked a retained treble for the Spaniard. Unfortunately, Putellas was forced to miss much of this season due to an all-too-familiar ACL injury, but her talent is unquestionable.

As a part of the new game’s Ultimate Team mode, users will be able to add in female footballers for the first time, which will presumably make Putellas one of the most coveted players across EA Sports FC 24’s game modes. Following an injury-plagued season, but not even 30-years-old yet, it seems likely that Putellas will hold onto her 91 OVR.

5. Aitana Bonmatí (91 OVR)

Compatriot and clubmate of Putellas, Aitana Bonmatí has enjoyed an incredible season, marking her growth from star to superstar with both Barcelona and Spain. The incredibly versatile midfielder is sound with either foot and put up 14 goals and 18 assists in 34 league games this season, adding another four goals in five games for Spain.

Bonmatí ended this season with an 86 OVR, so it’d be a big jump to 91 OVR, but the midfielder has certainly earned such an increase. She’ll be at the FIFA Women’s World Cup, which has arrived in FIFA 23, will undoubtedly make an impact for dark horses Spain (she scored in their opener), and will prove to be a multi-position wonder in EASFC24.

6. Joshua Kimmich (91 OVR)

EA Sports famously underrates defensive midfielders and full-backs, but this year, with a new name and branding, hopefully, the ratings team will recognise the sheer grandeur of Joshua Kimmich’s ability. Anchor to Bayern Munich’s imperious midfield, the 28-year-old was arguably the team’s best player through his 47 games.

From defensive midfield, Kimmich scored seven goals and 11 assists, but more importantly, averaged an 89.7 pass percentage, 2.4 tackles, 1.2 interceptions, 1.1 clearances, and 4.8 successful long balls per game. The German is superb, finished FIFA 23 at 89 OVR, and is deserving of a tick up to 91 OVR.

7. Caroline Graham Hansen (90 OVR)

A core part of the Barcelona team that’s now won Liga F four years running, Norwegian winger Caroline Graham Hansen enjoyed another goal-packed campaign. In 19 games, she scored 13 goals and added nine assists, even tallying another five goals and three assists in six games for her country.

The incredibly skilful attacker looks set to maintain her 90 OVR from the last game, helping to enter EA Sports FC 24 among its highest-rated players from the start. If upheld, key to Hansen’s appeal will be her versatility as an equally strong wide midfielder, winger, attacking midfielder, or forward.

8. Sam Kerr (90 OVR)

Australian talisman and lethal striker in the WSL, Sam Kerr has been world-class for years. Over the last three, she’s scored 87 goals and assists combined. After hitting the back of the net 24 times for Chelsea in each of the last two seasons, this season did see a bit of a drop to 17 goals and six assists in 31 games.

Set to run out to a home crowd at the World Cup in the third group game, if her recovery goes well, Kerr could propel the Aussies far beyond their ranking in the tournament (she did not appear in their opener). As for EA Sports FC 24, she’ll inevitably get a slight nudge down on her FIFA 23 rating of 91 OVR to 90 OVR due to the slight dip in production.

9. Vinícius Jr (90 OVR)

Still only 21-years-old, Vinícius Júnior proved that his breakout season of 2021-2022 was exactly that. This season, the Brazilian winger improved both his goals and assists output across his 55 games. While the 16 bookings and single red card will raise an eyebrow, the fleet-footed Real Madrid star scored 23 goals and teed up 21 more.

Already a devastating Speedster in the FIFA games, Vinícius Jr has seemed a little hard done by with his final 86 OVR in FIFA 23. He’s playing for an iconic club and putting up top-class numbers, so this should translate to the ratings makers bolstering his overall rating significantly – perhaps as high as 90 OVR.

10. Wendie Renard (90 OVR)

It seems a bit bizarre because FIFA – and thus, EA Sports FC 24, as it’s the same game – usually favours attackers, but centre-back Wendie Renard is worthy of a top ten rating. France’s captain continues to be a menacing figure along Lyon’s backline and even managed to score seven goals and three assists in 29 games in the last campaign.

Likely to play a key role at the World Cup for a highly-rated France outfit (she started France’s stunning 0-0 opener to Jamaica), Renard should be able to come to the new game with another top rating of 90 OVR. By these predictions, it’d deservedly put her among the very best defenders in EASFC24.

These EA Sports FC 24 ratings are just predictions, but if the leaks are correct, Cristiano Ronaldo staying in Saudi Arabia and Lionel Messi moving to the US will bump the two out of the 90s for the first time in decades.
