Ones to watch in FIFA 23

Another wonderful feature of the popular EA Sports FIFA game is the Ones to Watch section which are special limited edition player cards in FIFA Ultimate Team that celebrate the biggest signings of the season.

These dynamic upgrades have the potential to increase in ratings based on the players’ real-life performances.

With the promo having started with FIFA 18, Ones to Watch involves only players that have changed clubs over the summer and sees them receive upgrades through performance-based special items such as Man of the Match or Team of the Week.

Additionally, OTW players are eligible for a “Wins to Watch” upgrade which is activated if their team wins three of their next eight domestic league games starting from Friday 30th September. It is essentially an automatic upgrade which they will receive whether they feature in the games or not.

As the 2022 FIFA World Cup also has a big impact on the season, a new upgrade opportunity will be available in place of Team of the Week called ‘Nations to Watch’. This will see Ones to Watch items become eligible for a one-off upgrade if their national team wins a World Cup game, regardless of the player’s availability for the game.

The likes of Erling Haaland, Casemiro, Robert Lewandowski and Sadio Mane all moved clubs ahead of the season, meaning there are some phenomenal items to look forward to in the Ones to Watch feature of FUT in FIFA 23. This is absolutely exciting for fans who will not be disappointed with the quality available.

  1. Kolade Daniel, your piece truly resonated with me! It reminded me of my time during a trip to Italy last Spring, where your points about embracing cultural diversity genuinely rang true. I’m wondering however, did you find any distinct challenges while adapting to cultural differences? Also, what are your thoughts on mixing cultural practices? From my perspective, cross-culture exchanges can lead to intriguing new traditions – much like the Italian-Korean fusion restaurant I stumbled upon in Florence. It provoked a sense of unity, our shared love for food undivided by borders. Could this be another angle to explore in depth? It’s interesting to see how these cultural collisions can create beautiful hybrids. Would love to hear your thoughts! 🍝🥘
