One of the biggest events of the year in the FIFA gaming franchise comes up when the 2022 Team of the Year is announced in FIFA Ultimate Team 23.
FUT TOTY is the most hyped promo in FIFA Ultimate Team, and the FIFA 23 edition will see amazing special cards as Team of the Year features some of the biggest upgrades in the game.
The FIFA 23 TOTY promo involves players receiving a boosted card with special designs for their achievements throughout 2022.
This promo includes a selection of players nominated for the real-life Team of the Year while FIFA players get to vote for their starting XI as the rest of the squad is then decided according to the votes.
After the TOTY squad reveal, Ultimate Team players also get a chance to vote for a fan-favourite for the Team of the Year 12th man, which will be unveiled a few days later and will be available in FUT packs for a limited time.
For the FUT 23 Team of the Year, it has been speculated that the event will start on Friday, 6th of January 2023 with voting on the EA website starting on Monday, January 9 and ending on the 16th. After the complete Final XI and Honourable Mention players are revealed, they are expected to be available in the packs until the 3rd of February 2023.
Based on their significant achievements throughout 2022, the players in the Team of the Year will be revealed in batches in respect to their position including; attackers, midfielders, defenders, and goalkeepers.
