How to Activate the GTA 5 Parachute Cheat

A parachute is a useful tool to have, particularly when you’re falling from a great height. In GTA 5, this is particularly relevant if you do not have the parachutes available in the early parts of the game. Parachutes only become available for purchase from Ammu-Nation after the Minor Turbulence mission, which has an appropriate ending – diving out of an airplane (potentially while driving a jeep). Previous to that mission, they could only be found near the Mount Chiliad Cable Car, or the crane on Pillbox Hill.

After the Minor Turbulence mission, parachutes are automatically equipped any time you enter an aircraft, but previous to that, you may find yourself falling from a high place with nothing but a “Wasted” message awaiting you. To avoid that happening you can activate the GTA 5 parachute cheat.

To activate the GTA parachute cheat, you simply have to input the appropriate code for the platform you are playing on. The code for each system can be found below:

PlayStation: Left, Right, L1, L2, R1, R2, R2, Left, Left, Right, L1
Xbox: Left, Right, LB, LT, RB, RT, RT, Left, Left, Right, LB
PC: SKYDIVE
Cellphone: 1-999-759-3483

After equipping the parachute with the GTA 5 parachute cheat, you are free to dive out of planes, helicopters, and other assorted high places. Using the parachute is simple enough:

For Sony consoles, press X to deploy the parachute, use the left analog stick to speed up or down, press L1 or R1 to make left or right turns, or press at the same time for a more precise landing. To add a smoke trail, hold down the X button.

For Microsoft console,: press A to deploy the parachute, use the left analog stick to speed up or down, press LB or RB to make left or right turns, or press at the same time for a more precise landing. To add a smoke trail, hold down the A button.

On PC, the controls are slightly different than the above. Use the F key or the left mouse button to deploy the parachute. Press W to speed up or S to slow down. Press A and D to make soft turns, and Q and E to make harder turns. Lean forward and press Shift for a more precise landing, and hold down Shift to add a smoke trail.

Now you are equipped (pun intended) to handle any situation you might need a parachute in with the GTA 5 parachute cheat.
