A Comfy and Adjustable Strap

Exceptional comfort is the first thing you’ll notice once you slip on the KIWI Design Comfort Head Strap. With its plush PU leather covering, the top strap is thickly cushioned with memory foam and offers a velvety cool sensation.
It’s a vast improvement over the original thin cloth strip. You can quickly adjust the strap to your liking with the precision adjustment wheel on the back, and it will stay comfortably in place for long VR sessions.
Detachable Clip-On Design
The design’s use of strong plastic arms ensures a secure connection by clipping into the Quest 3 headset without adapters. Setting this up was a cinch and took literally seconds to do. Once in place, the arms also have a hinge allowing you to tilt your headset up from your face quickly and without screwing up your comfort settings.
So, if you need to glance at your phone or just wipe the sweat from your eyes after a tricky Beat Saber song, you can just raise and lower the visor on a whim. During long periods of hard gameplay, this becomes quite important, but even for short sessions, it grants some welcomed flexibility.
Design and Performance
While KIWI Design made some significant changes to the Quest 3 headset, the Comfort Head Strap stayed true to its previous design, embracing the if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it mentality. A rear unit with a click wheel for tightening minimizes movement during intense action, and the sturdy build and robust plastic arms help to achieve just that.
There is little to no wiggle or jiggle, even when you’re giving it your all, which is nice. With memory foam padding and an easy-to-use adjustment wheel, stability, comfort, and flexibility are all much improved, leading to noticeable performance gains.
This goes well beyond the original strap and allows for greatly improved adjustment while also elevating your comfort levels. The strap is pretty much essential for anyone who’s planning on tackling Asgard’s Wraith 2.
Additional Features
- The moveable arms of the head strap have a 52° removable joint and an adjustable hinge, so the headset can be easily flipped.
- A robust and long-lasting product is guaranteed by KIWI Design thanks to their rigorous durability testing, which includes more than 10,000 bending and recovery cycles.
- With its memory foam padding, PU leather surface, thickened head pad, and expanded top strap pad, not to mention the outstanding stability that keeps the snug fit, this head strap is designed to provide greater comfort.
- You get a comforting 24-month warranty on the product that starts from the date of purchase.
Unboxing and Installation

As soon as we opened the packaging, we were greeted by the rather flexible bendable head strap, which immediately indicated to us the comfort and versatility that we could expect from the product. The head strap’s adaptability suggests that it’s made to fit a wide range of head sizes and shapes, which is great for making it accessible to all users.
Unlike the regular stock Meta Quest 3 strap, this one comes with long-lasting foam padding, which is one of the most noticeable upgrades. Not only does this padding make the headset look more expensive overall, but it also ensures a very comfortable user experience, which we love.
In addition to eliminating pressure points and making sure that the VR headset fits well, the velvety surface it provides against the head improves comfort overall. You’ll feel like you’re wearing a comfortable hat rather than the original strap, which felt like it was cutting into your scalp after a few short gameplay sessions.
An important benefit for people who are new to virtual reality equipment is how easy it is to set up. It’s fair to say that the KIWI Design Comfort Strap takes less than a few minutes to install. Users won’t have any trouble moving from the unboxing to shooting zombies in the time it takes to make a good cup of tea.
Essentially, the process of unwrapping and installing the headset reveals an improved head strap and demonstrates a commitment to making virtual reality accessible and convenient for users. Good job, KIWI Design!
Final Thoughts on the Kiwi Design Quest 3 Comfort Head Strap
Rating 4/5
Overall, compared to Meta’s standard head strap, the KIWI Design Quest 3 Comfort Head Strap is a significant upgrade. The increased stability and comfort it provides more than make up for the slight weight it adds to the face.
You can’t go wrong with the KIWI Design Comfort Head Strap if you’re into virtual reality. It satisfies and even surpasses expectations for a head strap by offering all-around convenience, safety, and customization.
The only reason it hasn’t scored full marks is because I’d prefer to have a battery pack with my strap to solve comfort and charging issues all in one. That said, with KIWI Design’s flexible, comfy, and robust head strap, your virtual reality experience will be taken to the next level, making it an easy accessory to recommend to all Quest 3 owners.
