Advanced Sonar is the first evolution that you unlock, being a part of the organ evolutions selection that you can apply to your shark in Maneater.
Unlocked by making your way into the Fawtick Bayou Grotto – the first Grotto in the game – Advanced Sonar improves the sonar ability that you can use (Layout 1: O or B).
Advanced Sonar Official Description
“This evolution improves the range, cooldown, and sensitivity of your sonar ability.”
How to Unlock the Advanced Sonar
Once you’ve completed the prologue of Maneater – playing as the shark which would be revealed as your mother – and are cast into Fawtick Bayou, you then have to swim to a Grotto.
By swimming into the Grotto, you’ll automatically unlock the Advanced Sonar organ evolution.
Advanced Sonar Parameter Boosts
Upgrading the Advanced Sonar evolution to Tier 5 and then equipping it to one of your shark’s three organ slots, you’ll benefit from its passive effects, and the following ratings parameter boosts:
- +1 Defence
- +5 Speed
The ratings parameters are made of 20 segments, with the segments being worth five points each. By applying an organ evolution that bolsters a parameter by +5, you will fill the equivalent of one segment.
