The Kastellan Figures
The Resident Evil 4 Remake features five hidden Kastellan Figures that players can collect throughout the game. These miniature chess piece-like collectibles are modeled after the game’s notorious robotic bosses, the Kastellans. While not essential to completing the game, collecting these figures will earn players the “Chess Master” achievement and can be sold to the Merchant for valuable Pesetas.
Figure 1 – The Knight
The first Kastellan Figure, The Knight, is located in the Castle section of the game. After defeating the Garrador and rescuing Ashley from her cell, players will find the figure in a room adjacent to the prison. The Knight rests on a small table, easily visible as you enter the room.
Figure 2 – The Bishop
In the Castle’s Garden Maze, players will face the challenging task of avoiding the deadly Colmillos. After successfully navigating the maze and defeating the enemies, players will find The Bishop Kastellan Figure on a bench, just before the exit. Be sure to grab the figure before leaving the area.
Figures 3, 4 & 5 – The Rook, The King, and The Queen
The final three Kastellan Figures are located in the Island section of the game. Players will find The Rook in the Research Lab after defeating the Regenerador. The King can be found in the same area as the merchant, near the typewriter, before confronting Krauser. Lastly, The Queen is hidden in a locker in the room where players face the final boss, Saddler.
The Resident Evil 4 Remake offers fans an opportunity to relive the classic survival horror game with updated graphics and improved gameplay. Collecting the Kastellan Figures adds an extra layer of challenge and enjoyment, while also rewarding players with the “Chess Master” achievement and valuable Pesetas.
