    Fighting Style: Mishima-Style Fighting Karate

    Nationality: None (relinquished Japanese nationality)

    Height: 181cm

    Weight: 85kg

Kazuya Mishima has appeared in every Tekken release as a playable fighter other than Tekken 3, during which, he made two cameo appearances. He is one of the main antagonists of the series and is the father of Jin Kazuya. He is so popular as a video game fighter that he also appeared in Super Smash Brothers Ultimate and King of Fighters: All-Star.

Kazuya is very well-rounded as a fighter. He is very quick on his feet and has catastrophically powerful combos. However, as many of these moves are so powerful, they can be difficult to perform. He is great at creating space in battle, but his weakness is attempting to trade punch for punch. Kazuya flourishes with multi-hit attacks.

Here’s your guide to mastering Kazuya Mishima’s moves in Tekken 8.

    Kazuya Mishima’s Best Combos

Dominate Tekken 8 with Our Kazuya Mishima Mastery Guide

As the Tekken 8 controls adjust slightly depending on what way you’re facing, we’ll be using the following short-hand to reflect the moves: Right-Hand Punch (RP) and Left-Leg Kick (LK).

Impaling Knee Twin Thrust: D-Pad Down-Right, LK, RP, LP

Impaling Knee Twin Thrust is a fierce combination that will make your opponent think twice before rushing you. It is also great as an escape when stuck in corners. Kazuya starts the combo with a left roundhouse before delivering a right hook, finishing the attack with a powerful left punch to knock your opponent across the screen.

Omega Crash: (During Heat) RP, LK

Omega Crash is Kazuya’s Heat Smash Move, and it is devastating. The move starts with a right leg sweep that launches your opponent into the air. Kazuya then delivers a right punch followed by an electric attack to make your opponent fly across the screen and to the ground.

Slaughter Hook: D-Pad Down-Right, LP, RP

Slaughter Hook is a heat-engaging move that is excellent for initiating long combination chains. Kazuya commences the move with a left hook that lifts the opponent off the ground. He immediately follows it up with a right hook that sends the opponent flying across the screen. This engages Heat Mode, and Kazuya rushes the stunned opponent. Using this move presents a great opportunity to follow up with Omega Crash as the second link in the combination chain.

Kyogeki Goutsuiken: D-Pad Down-Right, LK + RK, LP, RP

Kyogeki Goutsuiken is a five-hit combination that inflicts heavy damage to your opponent. It even applies chip damage if your opponent tries to block the move. Kazuya initiates the combo with two quick roundhouse kicks from the left and right. He finishes off the move with a left hook followed by a brutal ground pound that launches the opponent into the air and to the ground.

Now that you know Kazuya Mishima’s best moves, combos, and his fighting style, you can rule the world as the head of the Mishima Zaibatsu!
