The new expansion for AC Valhalla is here and the Dawn of Ragnarök is upon us, bringing with it plenty of new features to sink your teeth into.
One of these features is a new game mechanic in the form of the Hugr-Rip. A gift from the Dwarves of Svartalfheim to Havi, the Hugr-Rip grants you the ability to harvest powers from certain enemies although you can only hold two at a time.
There aren’t any special requirements in regard to unlocking the Hugr-Rip, you’ll receive it from the Dwarves by following the initial storyline at the start of the Dawn of Ragnarök.
The five new unique abilities in Eivor/Havi’s arsenal bring even more myth and legend to the game, whether you’re disguised as a raven or raising the dead to fight for you, your enemies will certainly fall before Odin’s might.
What is Hugr in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla – Dawn of Ragnarök?
The Hugr-Rip needs fuel to run on, this substance is called Hugr and can be found throughout Svartalfheim. You can charge the Hugr-Rip by killing enemies, interacting with various Yggdrasil shrines, or collecting Hugr from Hugr Blooms (giant flowers). Without any upgrades, the Hugr-Rip can store just one charge at a time but it doesn’t take long to recharge, for example, it takes around five Hugr Blooms to refill the bar.
