At just 23-years-old, Erling Haaland is already a 91 overall striker, placing him amongst the best of the best in the game. However, there’s much more to come, with his 94 potential rating making Haaland the best striker in EA Sports FC24 career mode.
Haaland is a prolific goalscorer and widely regarded as one of the best players in the world, he has all the attributes of a complete striker. I mean with 94 sprint speed, 96 finishing, 94 shot power, 90 volleys and 93 strength, what more could you be looking for in a striker.
After his record breaking first season for Manchester City, it is proclaimed that the 23 year old is a unique breed and has the skill and strength of Wayne Rooney and the talent and finishing of Harry Kane and Ronaldo Nazário.
Already with 12 goals in 15 games for Norway, the Leeds-born youngster continues to exceed expectations by scoring in almost every game for Manchester City. Last season, Haaland scored 36 goals in 35 appearances making him my number one pick on my list of best young strikers.
2. Dušan Vlahović (83 OVR, 88 POT)

The second Player on my list of best young strikers and centre forwards is no other than Dušan Vlahović with an overall rating of 83 and a potential to reach 88 if properly nutured.
Vlahović is a complete striker, known for his physicality, technique and eye for goal. He excels at picking up the ball in central areas and maintaining possession thanks to his 85 ball control, 81 dribbling and 80 composure.
In January 2022, the 23 year old signed a four and a half year deal with Italian top club Juventus from his previous club Fiorentina.
Last season, Vlahović scored 10 goals in 27 appearances for the Serie A side Juventus. He also made his senior team debut on 11 October 2020, in a 2020–21 UEFA Nations League game against Hungary and has a total of 10 goals and 23 appearances for his country.
3. Lois Openda (82 OVR, 86 POT)

Openda is a real unit up top in Career Mode, with his 94 acceleration, 93 sprint speed, and 80 dribbling already making the speedster a decent target man. Still, his 69 finishing needs some improvement before he can be trusted upfront on his own.
The Belgian striker impressed in the youth ranks of his native football league and was picked up by Club Brugge for £2.25 million in 2018 – a few years later he’s signed to top German side RB Leipzig on a 5 year deal from his previous club RC Lens.
Having spent a couple of seasons on-loan to RC Lens, where he scored 21 goals in 38 games, Openda will definitely make an immediate impact on the pitch for your squad.
4. João Félix (81 OVR, 87 POT)

The Portuguese born’s best ratings are 84 composure, 86 dribbling, 82 acceleration, 80 sprint speed, and 78 finishing. Still, game time and good performances will quickly accelerate the development of this Portuguese youngster.
Felix is a technically gifted and intelligent player, with an eye for goal, his primary traits are his creativity, finishing, touch on the ball, and dribbling skills, as well as his vision and precise passing.
In 2023, Félix joined Barcelona on loan for the 2023–24 season. He made his debut two days later as a 80th-minute substitute in a 2–1 away win over Osasuna. In the last season, he made 16 appearances, scoring 4 goals and contributing 6 assists which I’d say makes him a perfect CF to join your squad.
5. Alexander Isak (81 OVR, 86 POT)

Listed as a striker, Isak’s build is much of a striker than a centre forward, with him boasting 86 ball control, 83 composure, 81 shot power, and 84 sprint speed. Either way, the 6’4’’ Swedish born player develops into an incredibly potent striker once he hits his 86 potential rating.
On 26 August 2022, Isak signed for Premier League club Newcastle United on a six-year contract which runs until June 2028. On 31 August, he scored a goal on his debut and was named man of the match in a 2–1 defeat against Liverpool.
Isak made 22 appearances for Newcastle last season and scored 10 goals and eight assists. He also got called up to represent the Sweden senior team in the UEFA Euro 2020 qualifying game against Romania.
6. Jonathan David (81 OVR, 84 POT)

He is also capable of playing as an out–and–out striker, and is known for his tactical intelligence, defensive work-rate, and goal scoring ability. David is able to find gaps in the defence and to attack these areas with his pace, noted for his high top speeds.
In 2020, the Canadian born player signed a 5 year deal with Ligue 1 side Lille. Playing over 37 games across all competitions last season, he proved why he’s one of the top strikers by contributing 24 goals and 14 assists.
7. Julián Álvarez (80 OVR, 86 POT)

Last but definitely not the least on my list of young strikers with an 86 potential rating, Julián Álvarez stands out among the best strikers on career mode for only being 23-years-old and having an 80 overall rating.
The Argentine frontman is incredibly athletic in Career Mode, with his best ratings being his 82 dribbling, 84 ball control, 81 acceleration, 87 balance, 77 sprint speed, and 87 agility making him a great striker for coaches on a tight budget.
A highly skillful player, Álvarez is known for his dribbling ability, as well as his explosive acceleration, agility, quick feet, first touch, link-up play and creativity when in possession of the ball. He is able to play in the centre as a main striker, due to his composure, clinical finishing, and eye for goal.
On 31 January 2022, Álvarez signed for Premier League champions Manchester City on a five-and-a-half-year contract. Last season, he scored 9 goals in 31 appearances making him my number seventh pick on my list of best young strikers.
