Few positions in football are more eye-catching than right wingers, whose attacking influence is often integral to the attacking success of their side. Whether they drift inside or hug the touchline, right wingers can be a defence’s worst nightmare if used correctly, but they can just as easily be left isolated or go missing in big games.
To avoid the latter, it’s important to conduct smart business in the transfer market and develop your right wingers in your Career Mode save. With that in mind, we’ve compiled a list of the cheapest and highest potential young right wingers in the game, so you don’t just snag yourself a great player, but a modestly priced one too.
Choosing FIFA 22’s best RWs and RMs
This article focuses upon the highest potential and comparatively cheapest right winger prospects in the game with Francisco Conceição, Kayky, and Facundo Pellistri being amongst the best in FIFA 22.
We have ranked these prospects based on their potential rating, the fact they have a transfer value of less than £5 million, and that their favoured position is on the right wing (RM and RW).
At the bottom of the article, you’ll find a full list of all the best cheap young right wingers (RMs and RWs) with high potential in FIFA 22.
Kayky (66 OVR – 87 POT)

Team: Manchester City
Age: 18
Wage: £10,000 p/w
Value: £2.3 million
Best Attributes: 84 Agility, 83 Acceleration, 82 Sprint Speed
Manchester City are blessed with some incredibly talented midfielders in their current squad, but few have the potential of Kayky whose 66 overall and 87 potential makes the Brazilian wonderkid one of the Premier League’s hottest winger prospects.
A natural dribbler who likes to cut inside on his left foot, Kayky has the physical attributes to excel on the right wing with 83 acceleration and 82 sprint speed being more than usable in this year’s game engine. Twin this with his 73 dribbling and 71 ball control and you’ve got yourself a potentially dominant winger as your save develops.
The Citizens snapped up Kayky after he played 32 times for Brazilian outfit Fluminense last year, recording three goals and a couple of assists in the process. Interestingly, £9 million was enough to secure Kayky’s signature, but if you want to sign him yourself you’ll only have to pay £6.6 million in Career Mode to trigger his release clause.
Francisco Conceição (70 OVR – 86 POT)

Team: FC Porto
Age: 18
Wage: £3,000 p/w
Value: £3.4 million
Best Attributes: 85 Balance, 81 Acceleration, 77 Dribbling
Portugal and Porto have a star right winger in Franciso Conceição, whose 70 overall will quickly become 86 as the save game progresses and the 18-year-old becomes one of the best wingers in Europe.
Conceição is an exciting winger who uses his flair to beat his man and create goalscoring opportunities for his teammates. With 4-star skill moves and 77 dribbling, the 18-year-old is a dream to play with if you enjoy using skill moves in-game.
Despite initially coming through rivals Sporting’s youth sides, the young winger played his best football for Porto B last season, with four goals and as many assists catching the eye of first team coaches and seeing him rewarded with a 14-game run in the first team.
Facundo Pellistri (70 OVR – 86 POT)

Team: Deportivo Alavés
Age: 19
Wage: £23,000 p/w
Value: £3.5 million
Best Attributes: 84 Balance, 84 Agility, 79 Sprint Speed
Currently on loan at Alavés from English giants Manchester United, Facundo Pellistri is rapidly becoming one of their hottest talents and could reach a highly impressive 86 potential in Career Mode after beginning save games with a 70 overall.
The nimble winger has all the attributes required to stand out as a consistent performer at right wing. He boasts solid delivery from the flanks with his 67 crossing, which he can use after beating his man with 74 dribbling and 79 sprint speed.
This is Pellistri’s second stint at Alavés after a relatively underwhelming 12 appearances in La Liga for the Spanish side last term. If the Uruguayan is to light up the Premier League for the Red Devils, he’ll need to play well to impress this year courtesy of a glut of winger talent at Old Trafford.
Amad Diallo (68 OVR – 85 POT)

Team: Manchester United
Age: 18
Wage: £10,000 p/w
Value: £2.7 million
Best Attributes: 84 Agility, 83 Acceleration, 82 Balance
Perhaps unlucky to be in the same squad as Rashford, Greenwood, and Sancho, Amad Diallo has his work cut out making his mark at Old Trafford, although his 85 potential suggests that the 68 overall winger is more than capable of developing into a seriously talented player.
Amad Diallo profiles similarly to Mason Greenwood in-game, with Diallo always looking to cut inside on his left and provide a constant goal threat with 74 attacking positioning and 67 finishing to go alongside his useful 4-star weak foot.
Capped three times by the Ivory Coast national side, Diallo is already building a reputation for himself in both Africa and Europe. Primarily limited to Europa League and low priority cup competition outings since joining United, Diallo may profit from a loan move to get more game time – but if you want to offer him first team football you can sign Diallo permanently for £6.6 million.
Shola Shoretire (62 OVR – 84 POT)

Team: Manchester United
Age: 17
Wage: £2,000 p/w
Value: £1 million
Best Attributes: 85 Balance, 83 Agility, 73 Sprint Speed
A winger who can effectively operate on either flank, Manchester United’s Shola Shoretire is set for a bright future in the game with FIFA 22 gifting him an 84 potential to go alongside his steady 62 overall.
Shoretire is a right winger who can also play off the left wing, which is useful given his technical and physical strengths. He has 85 balance to complement his 64 dribbling, and his 83 agility and 73 sprint speed underlines his elusiveness on the wing.
The former Man City and Newcastle youth player joined United on a free transfer aged 15, and as he’s eligible for both Nigeria and England, Shoretire has a decision to make internationally if he continues to work his way towards representing either the Super Eagles or Three Lions. If you’d like to help that progression, Shoretire could be yours for only £2.9 million.
Cole Palmer (64 OVR – 84 POT)

Team: Manchester City
Age: 19
Wage: £12,000 p/w
Value: £1.4 million
Best Attributes: 78 Sprint Speed, 76 Acceleration, 75 Agility
Cole Palmer is another precocious English talent who is on the fringe of the Man City squad, but if Palmer can reach his 84 potential in-game, it won’t be long until the 64 overall winger is a regular fixture in the City frontline.
Palmer’s playing style revolves around his physical ability, although his technical ability is constantly improving. The young winger, who can also play as an attacking midfielder, has 68 dribbling and a 4-star weak foot which, paired with his 78 sprint speed, gives him every chance of developing into a fan favourite at the Etihad in your save.
After making his first team debut last season with later performances off the bench in the Champions League, Palmer has played his way into first team contention under Pep Guardiola. A goal on his England U21 debut should also help raise his stock in the English game. £3.9 million is all it will cost you to prise Palmer away from Man City.
Joelson Fernandes (68 OVR – 84 POT)

Team: FC Basel
Age: 18
Wage: £2,000 p/w
Value: £2.7 million
Best Attributes: 91 Acceleration, 88 Sprint Speed, 87 Agility
Sporting Lisbon have sent this young Portuguese speedster to Basel this season, where he is showcasing why FIFA 22 have given the winger a very decent 84 potential to go alongside his current 68 overall.
Known for his raw pace – as outlined by his 91 acceleration and 88 sprint speed – Fernandes’ play style is maturing with his 75 dribbling and 71 composure making him a well-rounded forward option considering what is meta in FIFA 22’s match engine.
Born in Guinea-Bissau, Fernandes is only now experiencing his first real consistent taste of first team football in Switzerland after tearing up Portuguese youth football both domestically and internationally. With so much pace and promise being shown already, Fernandes is the prototypical wing prospect who you could sign on the cheap in your save game.
