Fast players are a popular choice in FIFA gaming as the gameplay favours those who have pace to burn and stamina to keep going for 90 minutes. FIFA 23 is no different and the need for speed is essential for success. Having pacey players in attack is almost a prerequisite to scoring goals.

This article focuses attention on a true speed demon in former Manchester United man, Daniel James.

The winger is known for his pace and skill, and he has been recognized as the third-fastest player in FIFA 23 behind Kylian Mbappé and Adama Traoré. James also has a keen eye for goal and the little Welshman is an asset to any team if he is afforded the space to run into over medium to long distances.

Boasting an overall rating of 77 with a wide margin to improve at a potential of 82, James has an incredible pace rating of 95 with a three-star skill moves rating in FIFA 23.

In case you are yet to be convinced by the Wales international prospects in FIFA 23 Career Mode; his rating of 96 acceleration, 95 sprint speed, 84 stamina, 83 agility, and 82 balance are seriously impressive for a player who is bound to only get better.

This speed demon is also comfortable playing on either flank or through the centre as a striker, and he would represent a fantastic bargain given his modest in-game value of €16M and €35k wages.

Born in England, James chose to represent his country of origin and was part of Wales’ squad at the 2020 UEFA European championship. The forward was also an influential figure as the Dragons qualified for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, their second-ever tournament since 1958.

After delivering four goals and five assists in 34 Premier League games in his maiden campaign for West Yorkshire side Leeds United, James was on the move again to fellow Premier League side Fulham on loan until the end of the 2022–23 season.
