FIFA 23 Best Young RBs & RWBs to Sign on Career Mode

Here, you will find ALL the best young right backs (RB & RWB) on FIFA 23 Career Mode.

Vital to a team’s attack and defence, the right back has evolved from being a wide defender to being a creative output on the right-hand side, bombing forwards and creating chances for the team.

One of the most decorated of all footballers, Dani Alves, is the standout example of this modern identity of the right back.

In this article, we are looking at the best RB in FIFA 23 Career Mode.

Choosing FIFA 23 Career Mode’s best wonderkid right back and right-wing backs (RB & RWB)

Featuring the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, and Achraf Hakimi, these up-and-coming stars would all be great additions to your team in FIFA 23 Career Mode.

In order to make this list, the right backs have to be under the age of 24-years-old, have their best position as either RB or RWB, and must have a high predicted overall rating.

At the bottom of the article, you’ll find a full list of all of the predicted best young right back and right wing-backs (RB & RWB) in FIFA 23 Career Mode.

Trent Alexander-Arnold (87 OVR – 92 POT)

Team: Liverpool
Age: 23
Wage:
£130,000 p/w
Value: £98 million
Best Attributes: 92 Crossing, 90 Long Pass, 88 Stamina

Trent Alexander-Arnold is one of the most talked-about right backs of recent years, and now, he is one of the top prospects in football. In FIFA 23, the young Englishman has an overall rating of 87 and a predicted potential ability of 92, meaning the sky is the limit for the RB.

Last year, he possessed 92 crossing and 90 long passing, this is certainly a player that you want to be bombarding down the line and putting a cross into your forwards. With 87 vision and 87 curve, you can be sure that these crosses will almost always hit their mark.

Alexander-Arnold has made the right back position at Liverpool his own, making over 230 appearances for The Reds senior team, as well as scoring 14 goals with 62 assist. Last season, the Englishman started 47 games and had 19 assists. In the current campaign, he has already scored two goals from 9 games, with one coming from the 9-0 win over Bournemouth in the Premier League.

Due to his reputation as one of the brightest talents in world football, securing the signing of Trent Alexander-Arnold will likely be a very costly process in FIFA 23, costing you upwards of £110 million in Career Mode.

Achraf Hakimi (85 OVR – 88 POT)

Team: Paris Saint-Germain
Age: 23
Wage:
£84,000 p/w
Value: £59.5 million
Best Attributes: 95 Acceleration, 95 Sprint Speed, 91 Stamina

After impressing at Inter Milan during the 20/2021 season, Achraf Hakimi landed himself a big-money move to French giants Paris Saint-Germain for £54 million. Known for his blistering speed and dribbling ability, Hakimi is very much a sought-after prospect in world football.

Having pacey full-backs in FIFA 23 is going to be a must: with Hakimi, you get this by the bucket load. Capable of making defence-splitting runs throughout the whole game, the young Moroccan utilised his 95 acceleration, 95 sprint speed, and 91 stamina to be a real threat going forwards in last year’s game. With an overall defence rating of 76, Hakimi isn’t a slouch when it comes to doing his defensive duties, either.

Hakimi has become a mainstay at the Parisian Club with 51 appearances made on the right side. Last season, he scored four goals and created a further six in 41 total matches played across all competitions. He has started the current campaign on a positive note, with two goals to his name from seven Ligue 1 appearances.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka (83 OVR – 87 POT)

Team: Manchester United
Age: 24
Wage:
£98,000 p/w
Value: £41.5 million
Best Attributes: 92 Slide Tackle, 88 Sprint Speed, 87 Stand Tackle

Now for a full-back who is seen as more traditional in his playstyle, Aaron Wan-Bissaka still manages to rank among the best right backs in Career Mode.

Not only does Aaron Wan-Bissaka have the defensive qualities that you would expect to see from a centre back, but he also has the ability to be a danger when going forwards. With 88 sprint speed, 82 acceleration, and 81 stamina last year, the Englishman is capable of finding space behind your opponents on a frequent basis in FIFA 23.

Since joining Manchester United from Crystal Palace for a fee of £49.5 million in the summer of 2019, the Londoner has made over 100 appearances for the Red Devils. So far this season, he game time has been limited under new manager Erik ten Hag, with the Dutch manager favouring Diogo Dalot.

Reece James (81 OVR – 86 POT)

Team: Chelsea
Age: 22
Wage:
£65,000 p/w
Value: £32 million
Best Attributes: 86 Crossing, 85 Balance, 83 Strength

Handed his first senior international cap by Gareth Southgate in October 2020 – following consistent performances that saw him lift the Champions League trophy – Reece James has found plenty of success domestically and has become a key contributor to boyhood club Chelsea’s success.

With 85 balance, 83 strength, and 81 sprint speed, knocking James off of the ball isn’t an easy feat for the opposition while he’s making forward runs. Having 86 crossing, 82 curve, and 79 short passing complements the young RB’s playstyle.

Chelsea’s academy has produced many top prospects in recent years, some of which never got the chance to play for the first-team. However, after a loan spell to Wigan in the 2018/19 season, Reece James came back invigorated and has since cemented his place in the starting line-up at Stamford Bridge.

The 22-year-old has made over 120 appearances for the Blues’ senior team and has already won a UEFA Champions League medal. Last season saw him suffer an injury that kept him out for a decent spell, but he still managed an impressive six goals and 10 assists in 39 games.

In the current campaign, James has secured his spot as Chelsea’s undisputed right-back and has already scored a goal against London rivals Tottenham.

Nordi Mukiele (81 OVR – 85 POT)

Team: Paris Saint-Germain
Age: 24
Wage:
£56,000 p/w
Value: £29.5 million
Best Attributes: 90 Jumping, 85 Stand Tackle, 83 Interceptions

A versatile player, who’s capable of playing at right back, right midfield, and can slot in at centre back if needed, the young Frenchman would be a fantastic signing for you in FIFA 23 Career Mode. With 90 jumping and 74 heading accuracy last year, he can be a menace when attacking or defending set-pieces.

In order to sign this young right back, you will likely be parting ways with the better part of £50 million. With a potential ability of 85, though, Mukiele is worth the investment in the long term and will only continue to improve.

Starting his career in the third tier of French football with Stade Lavallois, Nordi Mukiele made his professional debut at just 17 years of age. Since then, he has become hotly tipped to become a star. After impressing at Montpellier, Mukiele secured a move to Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig in the summer of 2018, where he made 146 appearances for the German club.

Mukiele sealed a move to Paris Saint-Germain in the 2022 summer transfer window, which cost £10.5million, after four impressive seasons in Germany. In his final season at RB Leipzig, Mukiele played 38 games, scoring twice and assisting on four occasions.

He has only featured sparingly for PSG in the current campaign but he will surely get his chance under Christophe Galtier.

Noussair Mazraoui (80 OVR – 85 POT)

Team: Ajax
Age: 24
Wage:
£14,500 p/w
Value: £25.5 million
Best Attributes: 86 Agility, 83 Sprint Speed, 82 Dribbling

With 86 agility, 83 sprint speed, and 81 acceleration last year, this young right back is deadly when charging forward from defence. Possessing 82 dribbling and 81 ball control, Noussair Mazraoui boasts several desirable traits for full-backs in FIFA 23 Career Mode.

After spending six successful years at Ajax where he won multiple League titles, Mazraoui moved to German Champions Bayern Munich on a free transfer in the summer of 2022. His final season at the Dutch giants was his most productive, as he scored five goals and assisted a further four in 35 games. So far, he has made only three league appearances for Bayern and is seen as a second choice fullback behind Benjamin Pavard.

The Moroccan citizen is certainly one of the most affordable players on this list of the best young RBs in FIFA 23.

Emerson (79 OVR – 84 POT)

Team: Tottenham Hotspur
Age: 23
Wage:
£60,000 p/w
Value: £21.5 million
Best Attributes: 85 Sprint Speed, 82 Acceleration, 82 Stamina

Emerson secured a transfer to London club Tottenham Hotspur in 2021 from Barcelona, following a successful loan move to Real Betis. In strange circumstances, Emerson has publicly voiced that he did not wish to leave Barcelona that summer, but wasn’t given a choice due to the Catalan club’s financial woes.

With a fresh start in a new country on the cards for Emerson, FIFA 23 will have to give him ratings justified by his impressive form last season. With 85 sprint speed, 82 acceleration, and 74 agility, Emerson is a rapid right back with 74 dribbling.

Handed his first senior international cap in 2019 by Brazilian head coach Tite, Emerson will be hoping to recreate the ever-present and ever-consistent legacy of Dani Alves for his country.

Since joining Tottenham, Emerson has made over 45 appearances for the North London side and is a key feature in Antonio Conte’s plans at right wing back. Last season, Emerson played 41 games and scored once. In the current season, he has already played eight games but is yet to register any goals.
