Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach tests your ability to stealthily maneuver around the mall Gregory is trapped in while avoiding the prying eyes of security bots and Freddy Fazbear’s animatronic friends. What’s worse is that Glamrock Chica, Montgomery Gator, and Roxanne Wolf will hear you if you sprint – and Wolf can even sniff out your hiding spot!
There is an optional item that will help make your sneaking around the mall much easier: the Hoodie. Read below to find out how to obtain the Hoodie and lessen your anxiety.
What does the Hoodie do in FNAF Security Breach?
The Hoodie has two functions that you will find useful. First, it makes you harder to detect while moving around the mall. This will be extremely valuable, particularly in those areas where security bots’ patrol routes overlap and give you a narrow area and time to proceed.
Second, and may most importantly, the Hoodie allows you to sprint without triggering the bots! The size of the mall and the distances between mission checkpoints makes sprinting without fear of being noticed as valuable as having Fazbear on call to assist you.
How to get the Hoodie upgrade in FNAF Security Breach
It is important to note that you can only obtain the hoodie after fixing Fazbear in Parts and Service. This will be right around 4 am in-game. You also need to have a Level 5 Security Badge upgrade to proceed.
Once you have the badge upgrade and have fixed Fazbear (this is after Vanessa captures you in story), head to the second floor of the gaming and food area – the area with the holographic projection should you have played that already.
Head inside the entrance toward Monty’s Gator Golf and through the long hallway. You will come across the Let’s Eat!!! bakery. It is recommended you call Fazbear (L1) and hide within his body (ensure he has a full charge). There are many bots, and they will trigger Chica if they spot you. Being that it’s such a cramped and enclosed space, this will almost guarantee a game over.
Use Fazbear to proceed through the bakery. You should receive a trophy for entering the bakery for the first time (“No Room for Dessert”). In the back of the bakery, you will find a Level 5 security door. Proceed through and exit Fazebear to find the Hoodie located in a gift box on top of a toilet.
Not only can you unlock the Hoodie and make your journey safer, but you will also pop a trophy! As soon as you have that security badge upgraded to level five and fixed Fazbear, nab the Hoodie!
