Reinier is the best young Brazilian wonderkid in FM22. He has a phenomenal 174 PA and with plenty of time to develop at just 19-years-old, his 125 CA means he is on the way to reaching his potential.

The 19-year-old has some stand out attributes with his 16 Technique, which works very well with his 15 Passing and 14 Vision. Add those to his player trait of tries killer balls and you have a very potent advanced playmaker or shadow striker.

Reinier starts FM22 on loan at Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga. He arrived at his parent club Real Madrid from Flamengo for a fee of £27m. The youngster has played for U16’s, U17’s, and U23’s at the national level, but is yet to break into the national first team. Reinier made 20 appearances for Dortmund across all competitions last season before returning to Real Madrid at the end of his loan spell.

Next is a teammate of the first entry: Vinícius Júnior, who has a 156 CA which is very close to his 172 PA.

The Real Madrid star has some amazing stats, but with his 18 Determination these will only improve and ensure he reaches his 172 PA. He can play on either wing and is strong with either foot. His 17 Dribbling along with blistering 18 Acceleration and 17 Pace will make going past full back and defenders an absolute breeze. Add to that his 16 Flair and the player traits runs with ball often and likes to beat opponent repeatedly, every defender is in for a hard day at the office.

Vinícius Júnior arrived at the Bernabéu in a transfer deal worth £40.5m from Flamengo. Current Ability/Potential Ability: 126 CA / 168 PA
Wage: £30,000 p/w
Value: £38-58 million
Best Attributes: 14 Dribbling, 14 Pace, 14 Acceleration

João Pedro, the young Brazilian striker, is currently plying his trade at Watford. At 19-years-old with a 126 CA, he still has a lot of developing to do to reach that fantastic 168 PA, but has plenty of time to do so.

The young striker has some decent starting attributes with 14 Dribbling, 12 Heading, 12 Long Shots, and 12 Finishing in the technical department, along with 14 Acceleration and 14 Pace in his physical stats. He could well become a formidable advanced forward when chasing through balls and when putting pressure on defenders in the press.

Pedro started his career with Brazilian side Fluminense before moving to Watford in a deal worth £3.6m. The young Brazilian made 29 appearances for the Hornets last season, scoring on four occasions and helping his teammates with one assist. Unfortunately, this was not enough to keep Watford in the Premier League, but Pedro will hope to make his mark on the Championship this coming season.

4. Ângelo (115 CA / 166 PA)

Team: Santos
Age: 16
Best Positions: AMR, ST
Current Ability/Potential Ability: 115 CA / 166 PA
Wage: £2,800 p/w
Value: £7.6–12.5 million
Best Attributes: 14 Dribbling, 14 Acceleration, 15 Flair

At only 16-years-old, Ângelo is currently plying his trade at Santos, who have produced some big names over the years. His 115 CA is fairly impressive with a high ceiling of 166 PA.

Ângelo has some great attributes for such a young winger with 14 Dribbling, 12 Passing, and 13 Technique. This ensures that he can carry and keep possession whilst having the ability to distribute the ball. His 15 Flair will make him a joy to watch and making defenders wonder what he will do next. The 16-yearoold also possesses some decent physical stats with 14 Acceleration, 13 Pace, and 13 Agility, all of which can only improve as he develops to reach his 166 PA.

The young 5’8” winger came up through the Santos academy and has made 29 appearances for the first team scoring one and creating three goals. Ângelo has featured for the U16 Brazilian side on six occasions.

5. Gabriel Martinelli (138 CA / 166 PA)

Team: Arsenal
Age: 20

Current Ability/Potential Ability: 138 CA / 166 PA
Wage: £40,000 p/w
Value: £55–65 million
Best Attributes: 16 Pace, 16 Acceleration, 16 Work Rate

The young Gunner, Martinelli, has a 138 CA and is not far off his 166 PA. He could become a key member of any squad rapidly.

Martinelli has some fantastic physical attributes with 16 Acceleration, 16 Pace, and 15 Agility, making him a nightmare to keep up with. His 16 Work Rate could make him brilliant in pressing defenders when combined with those physical stats. For all he can play in numerous positions, his preference is to play on the left wing and with a strong right foot, is well suited to playing as an inverted winger or inside forward.

Martinelli came to Arsenal from Ituano Futebol Clube for a fee of £6.4m. He made 36 appearances in all competitions for the Gunners last season, scoring six goals and creating seven. Martinelli has made three international appearances for Brazil.

6. Tetê (135 CA / 166 PA)

Team: Shakhtar Donetsk
Age: 21
Best Positions: AMR, MR
Current Ability/Potential Ability: 135 CA / 166 PA
Wage: £13,750 p/w
Value: £44–55 million
Best Attributes: 17 Technique, 16 First Touch, 16 Acceleration

Shakhtar Donetsk’s Tetê starts FM22 with a 135 CA. He is fast approaching his 166 PA. The young, talented winger is blessed with some great technical attributes including 17 Technique and 16 First Touch which makes him fantastic with the ball at his feet. He also provides speed on the wing with his 16 Acceleration and 15 Pace.

His player trait of cutting inside from the right wing makes him an ideal candidate as an inverted winger or inside forward, especially given he is stronger on his left foot.

Tetê is contracted to Shakhtar Donetsk, but because of the circumstances in Ukraine, moved on loan to Olympique Lyon last season. The 21-year-old made 28 appearances for his parent club in 2021-2022, scoring nine goals before going on loan to Ligue 1 outfit Lyon, where he went on to play 11 games, scoring two goals and providing five. Tetê is yet to feature for the Brazilian first team, but has appeared seven times at U20 and twice at U23 level.

7. Rodrygo (139 CA / 165 PA)

Age: 20

Best Positions: AMRL, ST
Current Ability/Potential Ability: 139 CA / 165 PA
Wage: £130,000 p/w
Value: £42-50 million
Best Attributes: 16 Agility, 15 Off The Ball, 15 Acceleration

Rodrygo is another Brazilian wonderkid currently playing at the Bernabéu for Real Madrid and is listed as available for loan at the beginning of FM22. His 139 CA could provide cover for a stronger side or could be a star at a midtable club. He is another young Brazilian well on his way to his 165 PA.

The 20-year-old winger is flexible, able to play on either flank and also as a striker. His 16 Agility makes him a tricky customer for defenders, being able to change direction rapidly to keep them guessing. He also has 15 Off The Ball which makes him a clever player who can get into dangerous positions when not in possession himself. That in combination with his 15 Acceleration and 15 Pace make Rodrgyo difficult to keep up with when in space. The Brazilian is decent with either foot and likes to cut inside from both flanks, which makes him a menacing inverted winger or inside forward.

Rodrygo is another graduate of the Santos academy who has made himself a household name at Real Madrid, arriving for a fee of £40.5m. The talented winger made 49 appearances for Real last season, scoring nine and assisting ten. Rodrygo scored two crucial extra time goals which took his side past a bitterly disappointed Manchester City to the final of the Champions League.
