How GTA 5 Sales May Hit New Levels in 2023

Sales across many industries are lackluster to say the least. The economy has changed the way we prioritize everything in our lives and it shows. The sales on gaming also began to take a hit in November of this year for GTA 5 sales. What is the latest on how GTA is performing alongside other games?

A new economy puts sales in perspective regardless of where you are looking. The gaming industry has changed for good reason since 2020 a few times. Initially, gaming took a hit when many gamers were considering backing off on their budget for playing on various devices, platforms, and mods. The market changed again when it seemed that a season of pandemic would never end. That thought alone meant gamers were considering how their budget would change with more time spent at home these days.

Selective spending for the Holidays

While spending on other items has gone down, anything that can be conducted indoors has gone up. Craft supplies have been selling, and gamers have been more active in spending their funds with their favorite games. This also means that gamers are now more selective in their spending on games, platforms, and mods.

GTA has hit more than 170 million sales, and is one of the best selling games in the United States. It is in the top ten list of the best-selling games, and heading into 2023 these numbers most likely will hit an all-time record high. It’s hard to say for sure where the sales will fall considering that they vary month-to-month, though.

Most games may project sales for at least a million, but ultimately for GTA 5 sales to be considered stellar, they would need to go far beyond that 170 million mark. It seems that with the holiday season GTA 5 could be catching up to this number sooner rather than later. It’s no surprise that this version of GTA could hit a record number coming up in 2023.

Platforms keep interest in GTA 5

The more platforms, the better. There is still a high interest level in GTA 5. This means that making it available on Twitch as well as through YouTube will give more gamers access to this game. Many gamers are still having the conversation about whether or not it’s still worth playing, but GTA is considered a classic.
