Outriders is an upcoming third-person shooter developed by People Can Fly and published by Square Enix. The demo was released worldwide on 25 February, giving players the chance to get to grips with the ins and outs of the planet Enoch. The game will be hitting stores globally on 1 April 2021, and it’s available to pre-order now.
Set on the planet Enoch, a massive energy storm halts humanity’s effort to colonize the alien world, but also grants both the natives and human colonists superpowers. You play as your own custom character with its own class, chosen from one of the four available: The Trickster, The Pyromancer, The Devastator, and The Technomancer.
Outriders is playable as both a solo game or you can form a trio with two other teammates to create chaos as you play through the story.
In this article, we detail all of the Outriders controls for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X so that you and your team can get stuck into the fight on Enoch.
In this controls guide, the analogue sticks on either console controller are shown as L and R, with the buttons on either d-pad denoted as Up, Down, Left, and Right. Pressing down on either analogue to activate its button is shown as L3 and R3.

Outriders Pause and Hero menus
The Outriders pause menu contains several features other than access to the controller layout. Here, you can also view guides detailing specific features of the game, as well as choose the World Tier level.
The World Tier level stands as this game’s difficulty level, with the higher the tier creating more difficult fights, but even better the loot.
Opening the Hero Menu will allow you to view all of the aspects of your character’s equipment, skills, and skill tree. It’s here that you’ll get to select specific weapons or gear to adjust your chosen build throughout gameplay, as well as upgrade your skills to make you even more lethal.
On PC, you can gain quick access to the various game menus by pressing M (Map), P (Class Screen), O (Skills Menu), I (Inventory), and J (Journal).
Now that you know all of the default controls within Outriders, get out there and shoot, burn, crush, or obliterate anyone brave enough to stand in your way.
