Whether you’re looking to complete your Pokédex or amass the strongest Pokémon for the best team in Legends Arceus, you’re going to want to get your hands on a Magnezone.
The hefty Electric-Steel Pokémon can be caught out in the wild and evolved to by finding its initial form. Here, we’re going through where you can find Magnezone, how to catch it, and where to find Magnemite.
Where to find and catch Magnezone in Pokémon Legends: Arceus

To get to the spot where you can find and catch Magnezone, you need to go to Coronet Highlands. As you can see in the Map above – which shows the exact spot and direction to spot Magnezone – it’s best to travel southwest from Celestica Ruins unless you can ride Sneasler to climb up from the southern side of the cliff.

Once you’re here and looking over the edge of the cliff, turn your view upwards. This is where you’ll see a Magnezone flying around in the wild. It’s quite some distance away from the nearest place that you can stand, but you can still catch Magnezone from here.
To catch Magnezone in Legends Arceus, you’ll need several Feather Balls, Wing Balls, or Jet Balls – which require an Apricorn, some Sky Tumblestone, and some Iron Chunks to craft. These balls fly fast and straight, enabling your throw to reach the Magnezone and potentially catch it.
Of course, using a Jet or Wing Ball rather than a Feather Ball will increase your chances of catching Magnezone, but it’s not impossible to do so with just Feather Balls. What matters is your aim.

As shown above, you need to aim just in front of Magnezone to catch it while it’s flying around, with it taking a bit of time for your Feather, Wing, or Jet Ball to reach the Pokémon. Then, be ready for it to burst out, as it’s at this point that Magnezone is at its slowest and easiest to target and catch.

Once you have caught Magnezone, it’s worth considering putting the Electric-Steel Pokémon into your team if it fits your playstyle. Magnezone is very strong in terms of its Special Attack, Defence, and Special Defence. Furthermore, it’s also a tough Pokémon to defeat as many types aren’t very effective against the Magnet Area Pokémon.
Of course, if you don’t trust your arm and aim, you could look to catch a Magnemite and evolve it into a Magneton and then a Magnezone.
Where to find and catch Magnemite in Pokémon Legends: Arceus
To find and catch Magnemite in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, you need to venture into a Space-Time Distortion in Cobalt Coastland. When you spot one of these large purple orbs, or see the distortion symbol on the Map, go inside, run around, and wait for a Magnemite to appear. Then, either attempt to catch it with a throw or in battle. In our playthrough, these started to appear in Cobalt Coastland after reaching Rank 5.
At Level 30, Magnemite will evolve into a Magneton. To then evolve your Magneton into a Magnezone, you’ll need a Thunder Stone. The most straightforward way to get a Thunder Stone in Legends Arceus is to purchase it from the Item Exchange stall in the Village for 1,000 MP – a currency earned by collecting Lost Satchels.
So, now you know where to find and catch Magnezone in Pokémon Legends: Arceus or, alternatively, find, catch, and evolve a Magnemite by venturing into a Space-Time Distortion field.
