Currently Experiencing Problems with Roblox Servers

Roblox is a massive user-generated multiplayer online social gaming platform that was developed and published by the Roblox Corporation to provide gamers with a unique community of like minds.

While it is a wonderful gaming universe, Roblox often experiences server glitches due to the sheer amount of players exploring several multiplayer game modes.

Was Roblox down today?

The answer is Roblox is currently up and running with the last reported general server breakdown coming over two days.

However, many users have still experienced issues with the server and as of the time of writing, there were 33 percent reported issues with signing in while 29 percent of the complaints were due to online play, according to server-tracking websites.

The developers are always working on fixing issues and despite limited public statements, you can subscribe to the official Roblox support page (help.roblox.com) or get notifications to social media posts in order to stay up to date on maintenance and service issues.

If Roblox is experiencing an issue or undergoing maintenance, users are likely to experience either of the following:

  • Products for purchases may be delayed in receipt, but be rest assured that products that are not immediately applied to your account will be done within the hour or at most within 24 hours.
  • Delay or unsuccessful loading to join an experience, users should wait for a few moments and try again.
  • Lags and delays while using the website, platform, or applications.

In case a Roblox user cannot access their account even when the site is up, below are some useful troubleshooting instructions

Browser related problems

Force a full refresh for the site. Press CTRL + F5 keys at the same time on your favorite browser (Firefox, Chrome, Explorer, etc.)

Clear the temporary cache and cookies on your browser to make sure that you have the most recent version of the web page.

Fix DNS problems

A Domain Name System (DNS) allows a site IP address (192.168.x.x) to be identified with words (*.com) in order to be remembered more easily, like a phonebook for websites. This service is usually provided by your ISP.

Clear your local DNS cache to make sure that you grab the most recent cache that your ISP has. For Windows – (Start > Command Prompt > type “ipconfig /flushdns” and hit enter).

Use an alternative DNS service other than your ISPs if it fails to open on your computer, but works on other devices. OpenDNS or Google Public DNS are both excellent and free public DNS services.
