The debut of a new trailer for Rogue Eclipse, an upcoming roguelike spacefighter game from solo developer Huskrafts, aka Husban Siddiqi, made waves at the PC Gaming Showcase. Published by Outersloth—the new publishing arm of Among Us creators Innersloth—this adrenaline-pumping space adventure is set to launch on PC sometime next year.
Rogue Eclipse pitches itself as an “epic spacefighter roguelike for the new age,” pulling inspiration from Starfox and Armored Core while weaving in the rich, cultural aesthetics of “Arabesque Futurism” into an arcade-style game. In this sci-fi odyssey, players assume the role of a desperate pilot battling for humanity’s survival across a galaxy on the brink of annihilation. Dogfights against swarms of enemy starfighters, forays into colossal enemy vessels, and environmental carnage, are all wrapped up in the classic roguelike formula: fail, upgrade, and repeat.

The trailer offers a tantalizing glimpse of what’s to come. Swarms of enemy ships fill the screen while colossal space behemoths crumble in cinematic explosions and destructible environments. All this is set to a pulsing synth soundtrack.
Huskrafts, the one-man studio behind the game, is helmed by Husban Siddiqi, and this is his debut title. Outersloth, the indie-friendly publishing offshoot of Innersloth, claims to give developers the freedom to create their dream projects without the usual big publisher compromises.

The game’s system requirements suggest it’s accessible to a broad audience, with even low-end setups able to handle the action at 1080p and 60 FPS.
There’s no firm release date yet, but we’ll be keeping an eye on this one into 2025.
