Using the Aragami 2 skill tree

Aragami 2 uses a skill tree as a means for you to progress. Here, you’ll strengthen your character by unlocking and improving both passive and shadow abilities. As you level up by completing missions and advancing through the story, you’ll earn skill points to spend on the skill tree – you can even further upgrade skills when you’ve unlocked them.

To spend your skill points, you must speak with Iwao in Kakurega Village – you’ll find him within the dojo. At the start of the game, you’ll need to unlock the skill tree by completing a mission to steal a scroll and return it to Iwao; after you’ve done this, he’ll be available throughout the game.

Fighting in Aragami 2

Although it’s primarily a stealth game, you will eventually have to draw your sword and face your foes head-on.

Aragami 2 uses a stamina bar to help keep fights more tactical and engaging. Using Shadow Abilities, blocking, and having your attacks parried will deplete your stamina bar. Once your stamina is empty, your movement is slowed, making you vulnerable to counter-attacks and an easy target for your enemies.

A lot of stealth games are unforgiving if you get caught out by a group of enemies, and Aragami 2 isn’t any different. So, avoid losing stamina by timing your attacks by counter-attacking after a successful parry, and you might just survive.

While you receive movement penalties for running out of stamina, your enemies will be staggered if you deplete their stamina bar. When staggered, you can deliver a lethal finishing move to dispatch them quickly. Drain their stamina by attacking and parrying their attacks.

How to play online in Aragami 2

Aragami 2 features an online mode, allowing you to team with up to two other players and take on the levels as a deadly unit of assassins. This online mode also supports cross-play.

To access the online mode menu, open the Main Menu and scroll to the ‘Online’tab, using R1/RB. Here, you’ll be able to view and create public lobbies or create a private session.

If you want to create a private session just for you and your friends, select the ‘Create Private Session’ option and then press X/A on the empty boxes below your player name on the left side of the screen. After that, simply select who you want to invite from your friends list.

Now that you know the Aragami 2 controls, do you think that you’re ready to protect Rashomon Valley?
