Alejandro Balde Martínez (81 OVR – 89 POT)

Balde comes in as the top pick in our list with his already fantastic 81 OVR and his lofty 89 POT, putting him right up there with the world’s elite right from the start.

Balde’s stand-out statistics are his 90 Acceleration, 91 Sprint Speed and 81 Agility, which make him a nightmare of the opposition, which he can easily glide past.

The young Spaniard is a La Masia graduate who has worked through the famed academy ranks to force his way into the FC Barcelona first-team reckoning. Balde is already at the tender age of 19, a La Liga and Spanish Super Cup winner. He has also featured for the Spanish national side on six occasions.

Nuno Mendes (82 OVR – 87 POT)

PSG’s Nuno Mendes is second on our list with a higher 82 OVR but a slightly lower 87 POT.

The young Portuguese fullback is another speed demon with 90 Acceleration, 88 Sprint Speed and 84 Balance. The opposing side will undoubtedly have their hands full with this young man’s pace.

Nuno Mendes proved himself in his native country with Sporting CP before making a €40 million move to the French capital to join the current Ligue 1 title holders. Mendes has made 50 appearances for PSG, scoring one goal and providing seven assists. So far, for the Portuguese national side, the mercurial left-back has earned 19 caps for his country.

Destiny Udogie (77 OVR – 86 POT)

Next up is Tottenham’s Destiny Udogie, who comes in with a lower 77 OVR but has plenty of room for progression with that 86 POT.

The Italian’s most outstanding attributes are 89 Sprint Speed, 86 Acceleration and 83 Jumping. Further underpinning just how integral Speed is at the fullback position.

Udogie is a reasonably new arrival at Spurs, having been bought and loaned to his former club, Udinese. The Italian has been quite prominent in Ange Postecoglu’s plans, having made five appearances for Spurs this season while creating two assists for his teammates. The 20-year-old is currently part of the U21 setup in Italy and has made eight appearances for them.

Patrick Dorgu (64 OVR – 85 POT)

Fourth on our list is Patrick Dorgu of US Lecce. His 64 OVR isn’t anything to shout about, but this is more than made up for by his 85 POT.

It’s very early days for Dorgu, but again, it’s speed that wins the day, with his most impressive attributes being 80 Sprint Speed, 78 Balance and 74 Acceleration.

18-year-old Dorgu arrived in Italy by way of Denmark from FC Nordsjaelland for a fee of €200k. The young fullback has made six first-team appearances for US Lecce this season, laying on one assist. In terms of his international career, Dorgu made his U21 debut for Denmark on 11^th September 2023.

Björn Meijer (73 OVR – 85 POT)

Björn Meijer makes our list due to his 85 POT, although his 73 OVR is not a bad starting point.

Meijer’s most notable attributes are his 87 Strength, 84 Jumping and 79 Shot Power, a significant shift from the speed we’ve seen in previous players on the list. The 20-year-old may be better for a long-range effort on goal or an aerial threat from a set piece.

The Dutch youngster moved from his hometown club of FC Groningen to Club Brugge in a deal worth €6 million in the summer window last year. Meijer has only made two appearances for Club Brugge this season, but this is due to injury. He has made one appearance for the Dutch U21’s side.

Milos Kerkez (75 OVR – 85 POT)

Our penultimate player is AFC Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez, the 19-year-old has 75 OVR and a fantastic 85 POT.

The attributes that stand out the most for Kerkez are his 89 Stamina, 85 Acceleration and 83 Agility, which also gives a great engine and speed, quite the combination.

Kerkez has been on quite a journey in his fledgling career since being only 19 years old, beginning at Rapid Vienna in his homeland of Hungary before moving to Italy with AC Milan. He then moved to Dutch side AZ Alkmaar, where he attracted the interest of AFC Bournemouth, who signed the Hungarian in a deal worth €17.8 million. Kerkez has made seven appearances for the Cherries this season; the youngster has also represented the Hungarian national side on ten occasions.

Valentín Barco (71 OVR – 84 POT)

Coming up through the Boca youth ranks, Barco has fought his way into the first-team squad and has made 20 appearances this season, scoring one goal and contributing three assists. The talented 18-year-old is currently part of Argentina’s U20 setup and has made three appearances.
