Long headlined by the talented emerging kids from Japan and the Korea Republic, in Career Mode on EA Sports FC 24, you’ll now find a whole host of nations represented by the best Asian wonderkids. These are the best young players from Asia and Australia who you should try to sign.
Choosing EA Sports FC 24 Career Mode’s best Asian and Australian wonderkids
Headlined by the likes of Koki Saito, Oscar Gloukh, and Nestory Irankunda, these are the best wonderkids in the game who hail from nations like the Korea Republic, Japan, Israel, Uzbekistan, Iraq, and the AFC-aligned Australia.
To be graded among the best young Asian wonderkids, players had to be 21-years-old or younger and have a potential rating of at least 78.
On the full list of Asian wonderkids in EA Sports FC 24, found at the bottom of the page, you’ll find all of the players sorted by their POT rating.
Oscar Gloukh (73 OVR – 84 POT)
Team: RB Salzburg
Age: 19-years-old
Wage: £7,400
Value: £5.5 million
Best Attributes: 85 Balance, 83 Agility, 82 Dribbling
Narrowly ranking as the outright best young Asian wonderkid to sign in EA Sports FC 24, Oscar Gloukh earns the top spot thanks to his 84 POT.
Already serviceable from the bench with a 73 overall rating, the attacking midfielder’s best assets from the start of Career Mode are his 83 agility, 82 dribbling, 81 acceleration, and 78 ball control.
Having impressed in Ligat ha’Al for Maccabi Tel Aviv – scoring four goals and eight assists to start last season – Gloukh earned a £6 million move to RB Salzburg and repaid his quick inclusion in the team with two goals and two assists in 15 league games.
Almost inevitably, the young midfielder’s next step will be to move from RB Salzburg in the Austrian Bundesliga to RB Leipzig in the German Bundesliga. Then, he’ll probably earn an eight-digit move away from eastern Germany.
Nestory Irankunda (62 OVR – 83 POT)
Team: Adelaide United
Age: 17-years-old
Wage: £425
Value: £1.1 million
Best Attributes: 90 Acceleration, 89 Sprint Speed, 85 Agility
He may only have a 62 overall rating at the start of Career Mode, but Nestory Irankunda has a lot of potential, with his 83 POT being plenty to rank him so highly among the best Asian and Australian wonderkids in EA Sports FC 24.
Don’t let the 17-year-old’s OVR fool you: his 90 acceleration, 89 sprint speed, and 78 shot power make him immediately useful from right midfield in the game. Plus, he’s absurdly cheap from the get-go.
Born in Tanzania, Irankunda broke out last year for his club and his nation’s youth ranks. Impressively, the right-sided midfielder put up 11 goals in his first seven games for the Aussie under-17s.
For Adelaide United in the A-League, he was often brought off the bench or deployed for half a game, but still managed to end the 2022/23 campaign with five goals and two assists in 22 mostly-cameo appearances.
Jordan Bos (69 OVR – 83 POT)
Team: KVC Westerlo
Age: 20-years-old
Wage: £3,400
Value: £2.7 million
Best Attributes: 89 Sprint Speed, 83 Acceleration, 83 Stamina
If you need a speedster to run the line from left back, you can’t go wrong with our next-best Asian wonderkid. Jordan Bos has a potential rating of 83, an overall rating of 69, yet his physical attributes are already top-class.
The Aussie left-footer can be wherever he’s needed down the flank thanks to his 83 stamina, 83 jumping, 89 sprint speed, 83 acceleration, and 83 balance.
In his native Melbourne, for Melbourne City FC, Bos stacked up 50 games, three goals, and six assists before making his way to Belgium this summer.
Upon his arrival at KVC Westerlo, Bos was made an immediate starter, with his initial run in the team only being cut short because of an appendectomy.
Yang Hyeon Joon (68 OVR – 83 POT)
Team: Celtic
Age: 21-years-old
Wage: £13,500
Value: £2.5 million
Best Attributes: 86 Agility, 79 Balance, 75 Sprint Speed
Entering Career Mode on EA Sports FC 24 with an overall rating of 68 and potential rating of 83, Yang Hyeon Joon easily stands as one of the best Asian wonderkids to sign.
Capable of playing right wing or striker in the game, Joon’s strengths are in his 75 sprint speed, 73 dribbling, 71 acceleration, and 72 attack positioning. Still, as these are fairly low ratings, it’s best to deploy him as a substitute early on.
Gangwon FC was Joon’s home for several years, bringing him through the reserves to hand him his first-team debut back in May 2021 – marginally before his 19th birthday.
With nine goals and five assists to his name for Gangwon FC, Celtic came knocking to add to the club’s growing collection of top young Asian players, bringing him to Scotland for around £2.5 million.
Liel Abada (74 OVR – 82 POT)
Team: Celtic
Age: 21-years-old
Wage: £30,000
Value: £8 million
Best Attributes: 92 Agility, 91 Balance, 89 Acceleration
Israeli speedster Liel Abada stakes a claim among the best Asian wonderkids in EA Sports FC 24 by virtue of his 82 potential rating, and comes with the bonus of being serviceable from the start with a 74 OVR rating.
Born in Petach Tikva, Abada can already be a very useful addition in Career Mode. His 89 acceleration, 88 sprint speed, and 75 attack positioning all combine to make him deadly against any high line.
The diminutive winger arrived in the Scottish Premiership in the summer of 2021 and made an immediate impact. In his first season for Celtic, Abada scored 15 goals and set up 11 more.
Last season, the Israeli attacker added another nine assists and 13 goals in all competitions and even managed to get off to a hot start in 2023/24 with a goal and an assist in the first two games.
Koki Saito (71 OVR – 82 POT)
Team: Sparta Rotterdam
Age: 21-years-old
Wage: £4,600
Value: £3.6 million
Best Attributes: 85 Agility, 82 Acceleration, 80 Balance
Boasting an 82 potential rating and still only 21-years-old, Japanese wide midfielder Koki Saito makes his way onto the list of the best Asian wonderkids to sign in Career Mode this year.
Capable of performing from LM or ST in EA Sports FC 24, the 71 OVR is a strong start, while his 77 sprint speed, 82 acceleration, 75 dribbling, and 73 ball control bode well for some important gaudy ratings to come.
In 2021, Saito made the jump to Europe from Yokohama FC. With nine goals and 67 appearances in the bag for the Japanese club, the young winger joined Lommel SK in the second tier of Belgian football.
Now, he’s enjoying his second loan stint to Eredivisie club Sparta Rotterdam. In the first of his two seasons in the Dutch top division, he scored seven goals and assisted for five more in 32 games.
Garang Kuol (62 OVR – 81 POT)
Team: FC Volendam (on-loan from) Newcastle United
Age: 18-years-old
Wage: £5,400
Value: £850,000
Best Attributes: 85 Acceleration, 84 Sprint Speed, 77 Agility
Finishing the section of featured players on this list of the best young Asian and Australian wonderkids is Garang Kuol. Four players from the region have a potential rating of 81, but Kuol is especially cheap and young.
Still only 18-years-old, Kuol’s value in EA Sports FC 24 starts at a mere £850,000, and while that is down to his 62 overall rating, there’s utility to be found by way of the Australian’s 85 acceleration and 84 sprint speed.
Egyptian by birth, Kuol has already played in the top divisions of Australia, Scotland, and the Netherlands, going from his A-League debut in April 2022, to the Scottish Premiership in January 2023, and then the Eredivisie this season.
However, he’s yet to play for his parent club. After impressing for the Central Coast Mariners in Australia, Newcastle United signed him for around £300,000. Since, he’s been loaned out to get regular game time.
