The GTA 5 tuner cars were added when the Los Santos Turners originally released for GTA Online on July 20, 2021. What are tuner cars and why should you invest time in them? Read on to find out.

Why you should invest time in GTA 5 tuner cars

GTA 5 tuner cars are a special vehicle that can be customized by the player for a special racing mode. Players can compete against one another, show off their custom rides, and even take on jobs to earn money, all through the hub at LS Car Meet. The space is a neutral space that let’s players customize their rides while not having to worry about the dangers of Free Mode, where you could be taken out by other players by simply driving around.

At launch, there were ten GTA 5 tuner cars that you could access for customization. Since then, two more releases happened with seven cars being added, then an additional two cars as of December 15, 2022. As players work through the LS Car Meet, winning races, customizing their car, and hanging out at the Car Meet, they will gain Rep, which will allow them to access greater rewards that can then be put back into customizing the ride (such as discounts on purchasing new tuner cars all over Los Santos in GTA Online), or wearing LS Customs clothes.

Los Santos Tuners is all about bringing the love of car culture to GTA Online and giving players a chance to take a break and simply enjoy racing mode that is free from cop chases and other players trying to kill you. According to Rockstar Games, this is to encourage people to enjoy showing off their cars along with other players showing off their own GTA 5 tuner cars.
