Marvel’s Avengers has finally arrived, giving you the power to wield Thor’s hammer in the same game that you fly around as Iron Man.
With there being such a diverse assortment of superpowers from the beginning of the base game, with even more arriving in the updates to come – such as Spider-Man and Black Panther – you may think that it’ll be challenging to keep track of all of the Marvel’s Avengers controls.
Crystal Dynamics, however, have decided to follow a similar sort of set-up to Marvel Ultimate Alliance, with there being a base set of controls that covers all of the characters. Of course, there are some adjustments to what the controls do per superhero.
Here are all of the controls for Marvel’s Avengers on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, as well as how to configure your own customised controls for the game.
Marvel’s Avengers Default Controls

How to change the Marvel’s Avengers controls

If the default Marvel’s Avengers controls aren’t to your liking, you can easily change the button mapping from the menu.
If you go into the Settings menu from the main screen, press either R1 or RB until you reach the Controls tab; you can then find the button mapping screen by pressing Square (PS4) or X (Xbox One).
In this menu, you can scroll through all of the controls for Marvel’s Avengers, selecting which buttons you’d like to change from the default set-up.

Once you exit the button mapping screen (O or B), you’ll be shown a prompt that asks you to confirm your configured controls or resort to the default controls.
Should you ever want to revert to the default controls, simply return to the button mapping screen, via the Controls section of the Settings menu, and then press Triangle or Y to restore the default Marvel’s Avengers controls.
How to save in Marvel’s Avengers

Marvel’s Avengers doesn’t have a manual save option, but it does auto-save regularly, such as when you complete tasks or hit new checkpoints.
As it auto-saves at the key moments, you can feel free to leave the game by turning off your console or returning to the main menu via the pause screen whenever you see fit.
Now you know all of the controls that you need to crush supervillains and their henchmen in Marvel’s Avengers.
