All Chaos Emerald Powers in Sonic SuperstarsAll Chaos Emerald Powers in Sonic Superstars

Each Chaos Emerald collected in Sonic Superstars grants a special ability that is shared with all characters. These special moves can make boss fights easier, give access to secret areas, and uncover hidden items. Emerald powers have a limited time before depletion but will eventually replenish. Fully restore your abilities instantly by crossing a Star Post.

    AvatarAvatar

The Blue Chaos Emerald spawns dozens of clones across the screen and attacks enemies.  It is great when you need to clear the screen and also effective against bosses that are hard to get in proximity of for an attack.

    BulletBullet

The Red Chaos Emerald turns the character into a  user-controlled projectile fireball. Hold the button while choosing direction; you can keep chaining this move together until time runs out to reach secret areas or to attack enemies while avoiding damage.

    WaterWater

The Cyan Chaos Emerald turns the character into a liquid. You can travel in any direction in water including up waterfalls and up slopes. You don’t have to find oxygen bubbles when in this state and it makes maneuvering underwater significantly easier.

    IvyIvy

The Green Chaos Emerald allows you to grow a vine that you can climb. This ability allows you to control the direction of growth for the vine as it will only grow vertically if not manipulated at all.

    VisionVision

The Purple Chaos Emerald reveals hidden items and platforms in the level when its power is activated.

    SlowSlow

The Yellow Chaos Emerald slows the motion of everything allowing you to avoid fast-moving objects and sneak in attacks against an overwhelming boss.

    ExtraExtra

The Grey Chaos Emerald adds a unique special move for each character. Sonics becomes a homing missile, Tails shoots out a mini ground tornado, Knuckles throws punches, and Amy throws her Piko Piko hammers. Trip shoots fireballs that bounce around the terrain.

    All SuperformAll Superform

Once you have collected all seven Chaos Emeralds, all playable characters are capable of Superform.  All you need to do is collect 50 before crossing a Star Post and selecting it like any other Emerald Power. You are now invincible and even faster; you will lose superform once your rings hit zero. Since this power depletes your rings, be sure to collect them to stay invincible longer. All characters are very similar versions of themselves except for Trip, who transforms into a golden yellow dragon.
