The moment that you get to roam around Night City in Cyberpunk 2077, you’ll find your Journal loaded with gigs and side missions. One of these is the ‘Olive Branch’ gig.

Tied to the Tyger Claws and the fixer Wakako Okada, the Special Delivery mission has you meet with one Sergei Karasinsky, who’s trying to extend a gesture of goodwill to the Tygers.

Here’s everything that you need to know when it comes to deciding whether or not to let Alex out, and the different outcomes of the Olive Branch gig.

How to get the Olive Branch gig in Cyberpunk 2077

Olive Branch is one of the first gigs that can come your way in Cyberpunk 2077, requiring only Street Cred Tier 1 to get the mission. You’ll receive a call informing you to meet Sergei Karasinsky at the garage on Redwood Street.

If you don’t have the Olive Branch gig when the game opens up, you can try driving to Japantown to initiate the call informing you of Sergei’s plan.

You can either press Left on the d-pad of your controller to track the gig from the phone call, or go into your character menu and navigate to the Journal. In the Journal, scroll down to the Gigs section and then select ‘Track Job’ above the mission details.

After activating the job, you’ll need to travel to the meeting point and talk to Sergei to get the gig underway.

Once you’ve parked up, you’ll meet Sergei just outside of the garage doors. While you can select the blue dialogue options for some more details on how Sergei plans on extending his olive branch to the Tygers, all that you really need to do is select the yellow dialogue to be tasked with driving his car to a Tyger Claw venue.

You’ll go through the door to his right, see lots of stuff to loot, and will then be tasked with getting in the car. However, if you go to the trunk of the car, you’ll hear some banging.

Press Square (PlayStation) or X (Xbox) to open the trunk and meet Alex. He’s being kept in the boot of the car as Sergei’s peace offering to the Tygers. Alternatively, if you just start driving the car, you’ll eventually hear someone in the boot of the car, and then you’ll have the option to check what’s going on.

Your decision doesn’t appear to have any lasting impact on your relationship with the Tygers, but the mission plays out differently if you let Alex out or close the trunk on the captive. More specifically, you get different rewards depending on your decision.

Now, you have one of the many choices in Cyberpunk 2077: do you let Alex out of the trunk. You can either ‘Close trunk’ or ‘Let Alex out,’ with your decision slightly altering the outcome of the Olive Branch gig.

If you let Alex out, he’ll thank you, pay Wakako Okada, and say that you won’t lose any money over your decision. Wakako will call you immediately afterwards, give you some ominous quid pro quo spiel, and then you’ll be paid €$3,700.

On the other hand, you could choose to not let Alex out in the Olive Branch gig, and just close the trunk – or continue driving, depending on when you discover the captive.

Once you’ve closed the trunk, jump into the driving seat of the car, and make your way to the Tyger Claws’ restaurant. It’s a short drive away, so if you haven’t met Alex, you won’t have to put up with his pleas to get out for too long.

When you arrive at the turn-in to the restaurant, slowly drive in to avoid hitting any of the people outside or the Tygers who are waiting around the back.

After leaving the car, you’ll be roped into a conversation with the waiting Tyger Claws leader. You’ll have two yellow dialogue options, but it doesn’t matter which one you pick.

Next, you just have to leave the area to complete the Olive Branch gig. In the image below, you can see a door that leads into the Tyger Claws restaurant; it’s best to avoid leaving the area via that door because the Tygers are very hostile in there.

So, leave down the same alley that you drove down to avoid being flatlined by some Tygers and needing to repeat the Olive Branch gig. Once you’ve left the area, Wakako Okada will give you a call and send you the reward of €$1,860.
