Cyberpunk 2077: Nudity Censor Options, How to Turn On/Off Nudity

Cyberpunk 2077 comes with a high degree of nudity and graphic content; here’s how to switch the nudity censor option on or off.

CD Projekt Red has gone all-out to offer every level of detail possible in their extensive, futuristic role-playing game Cyberpunk 2077.

Part of that detail extends to character creation, romances, and storyline encounters. In the game, you can customise the whole body of your character, engage in deep romance options with people in Night City, and find naked people throughout the game.

If you wish to turn on or turn off nudity in Cyberpunk 2077, you need to:

  • Load-up Cyberpunk 2077 and go to the home screen;
    • Or, save your game and return to the Cyberpunk 2077 home screen;
  • Scroll down to ‘Settings’ and press X (PlayStation) or A (Xbox);
  • Navigate to ‘Gameplay’ by pressing R1 (PlayStation) or RB (Xbox);
  • Scroll down to the ‘Miscellaneous’ section of the ‘Gameplay’ tab to find the ‘Nudity Censor’ option;
  • Select ‘Off’ to show nudity in Cyberpunk 2077 or ‘On’ to censor nudity in Cyberpunk 2077.

How much nudity is there in Cyberpunk 2077?

There is a lot more nudity in Cyberpunk 2077 than in most other popular, triple-A titles.

Not only do you get to customise the whole body of your male or female character at the start of the game, but you will also encounter nudity throughout the story of the game and while exploring the map.

So, before you start a new game on Cyberpunk 2077, go into the settings and select the Nudity Censor option from the Gameplay Settings that suits your preferred experience.

You can also change the Nudity Censor for a saved game after you’ve started, but you can only do this from the settings on the home screen – not via the pause menu settings.

Now you know how to toggle nudity on or off in Cyberpunk 2077.

    Not that it matters, but I was so let down; not because I have a need to see t*** and a** in my game, but at the same time, I want to see them push more than the usual boundaries. It’s kind of ridiculous, the stigma attached to sex/nudity. They had so much more sex, nudity, prostitution, and debauchery. As the game says in-game, they talk about all kinds of fetishes and such, and I just got finished with the game on PS4 and I was reading about how they thought it might be a little too much to keep all of the sex and nudity in the game. To that I say this: what kind of world do we live in where a game that has a mature rating – which means that a child shouldn’t be even touching it (I have two and they aren’t even allowed to touch the game case, let alone play it, they have parental restrictions among other things not to mention) – and it’s not ok to show two game characters actually having sex because it’s possibly problematic and offensive. However, it’s fine to take blades and lop someone’s head, arms, torso, and legs to shreds, and blow someone’s face in half with a pistol – showing brains being exploded by shrapnel and bodies literally dancing like marionettes from machine gun fire. That’s great: normalize murder and gore, shame sex – which is natural and literally life giving. Do you see where I’m going with this? Stop censoring and taking s*** out of games if you are going to show the gore, blood, and murder because you want it to be a great game and do s*** that not a single other game does. Go full out and do it. Rant over.
