NBA 2K22: Best 3-Point Shooters in the Game

Want someone to sink maximums for you without fail? These are the best three-point shooters in NBA 2K22.

At the beginning of this century, NBA teams averaged 13.7 three-point attempts per game, but by the 2021 NBA season, that average almost doubled, hitting some 34.6 attempts per game.

Even in NBA 2K22, it is more difficult to keep moving around in defense, especially if the opponents are reliable threats from way behind the arc. In MyCareer, mastering the release of open shots could wreak havoc for any defense.

So, to help you build a team with these incredible threats, here are the best three-point shooters in NBA 2K22.

Stephen Curry (3PT 99)

Overall Rating: 96
Position: PG/SG
Team: Golden State Warriors
Archetype: Offensive Threat
Best Stats: 99 Three Point Shot, 98 Close Shot, 98 Hustle, 98 Stamina

Being the best shooter in NBA history, Stephen Curry was the first individual to constantly attempt three-pointers from 30-feet. He has become one of the best players in the league for the last several years, helping the Golden State Warriors to land three NBA championships.

Still only 33-years-old, he recently signed a four-year, $215 million extension with the Warriors. So, Curry will look to build off of his impressive 2021 campaign, in which he only finished behind Nikola Jokić and Joel Embiid in the MVP race.

In NBA 2K22, he has 48 badges: 20 of them can enhance his shooting ability. Additionally, Curry’s badges include Hall of Fame-tier Chef, Circus Threes, Deadeye, and Limitless Spot-Up. These badges prove that Curry does not just convert his shots, but he also has the variety and unpredictability to catch any defense off-guard.

Klay Thompson (3PT 95)

Overall Rating: 87
Position: SG/SF
Team: Golden State Warriors
Archetype: 2-Way Sharpshooter
Best Stats: 95 Three Pointer, 93 Shot IQ, 93 Perimeter Defense

The schemes of opponents mainly focus on the non-stop movement and running of Curry, which leaves Thompson open for several outside shots every single game. When Thompson is left open, he often swishes it through the net and demoralizes the momentum of opposing squads.

Thompson has suffered two gruesome injuries over the past two seasons, which can cause his mobility and speed to deteriorate. However, the threat of his catch and shoot ability, and constant curling from numerous screens in one possession, still pose a problem for the 29 other teams hoping to limit the Warriors.

Despite missing the entirety of the 2020 and 2021 seasons, Thompson still has 37 badges in 2K22, with 19 of them being of the shooting variety. Thompson has Hall of Fame-tier Blinders and Green Machine, along with 13 other shooting badges at the Gold level.

Seth Curry (3PT 90)

Overall Rating: 77
Position: SG/PG
Team: Philadelphia 76ers
Archetype: Sharpshooter
Best Stats: Mid-Range Shot 93, Free Throw 91, Three-Point Shot 90

Starting off as an undrafted player in the 2013 NBA Draft, Seth Curry has found a home with the Philadelphia 76ers as a full-time starter. Playing alongside one of the best passers in the league, Ben Simmons, and arguably the best big man, Joel Embiid, Curry is able to receive a plethora of open three-pointers every single game.

With the 76ers having him sign on for the next two seasons, Curry will continue to be a benefactor of the passes from Embiid and Simmons, respectively. Moreover, the Curry gene in his blood is more than enough help in explaining his phenomenal shooting.

With a consistent stroke from any area of the floor, Curry is a reliable asset for the 76ers with his 93 mid-range shot and 90 three-point shot in 2K22. He also sports a Gold-tier Catch & Shoot and Slippery Off-Ball badge, which are great ones to complement the game of the other main cogs of the 76ers.

Joe Harris (3PT 90)

Overall Rating: 79
Position: SF/SG
Team: Brooklyn Nets
Archetype: Shooter
Best Stats: Shot IQ 95, Close Shot 91, Three-Point Shot 90

Having a tough stretch at the beginning of his career with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Joe Harris had an explosive 2019 breakout season with the Brooklyn Nets. Entering the 2022 campaign, the Nets have a completely different roster already, but Harris is still an intricate piece in this top team.

Despite signing Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving to huge deals, Harris was still a top priority when his deal expired, going on to sign a four-year, $75 million deal. With the addition of James Harden to the mix, Harris spots up in the wings and corners, the team’s big three will find his shooting pocket and nail those trifectas with great proficiency.

Being the fourth option in the offense of coach Steve Nash, Harris can sometimes be taken for granted. Still, he can easily convert seven or eight three-point shots per game. Holding the Gold badges of Limitless Spot-Up, Corner Specialist, and Catch & Shoot proves his effectiveness in 2K22.

Duncan Robinson (3PT 90)

Overall Rating: 78
Position: SG/SF
Team: Miami Heat
Archetype: Shooter
Best Stats: Shot IQ 98, Three-Point Shot 90, Hands 90

Duncan Robinson’s journey to the NBA involved numerous obstacles, eventually defying the odds to become an integral piece of the Miami Heat. Initially, he didn’t even get any NCAA Division 1 opportunities, and he went undrafted in the NBA Draft.

In the 2020 season, coach Erik Spoelstra gave him the chance to find his niche, leading to him converting 270 three-point shots as the starting shooting guard of the Miami Heat. Robinson followed it up with a fantastic 2021 season to earn this five-year, $90 million deal.

Having the Gold-tier Slippery Off-Ball badge gives him the ability to go through several dribble-handoffs in NBA 2K22. Along with the other Gold badges of Corner Specialist, Catch & Shoot, and Blinders, Robinson’s build makes him one of the most dangerous marksmen in the game.

Kevin Durant (3PT 89)

Overall Rating: 96
Position: PF/SF
Team: Brooklyn Nets
Archetype: Offensive Threat
Best Stats: Mid-Range Shot 98, Shot IQ 98 Close Shot 97

Arguably the best player in the NBA right now, Kevin Durant is also one of the best scorers in NBA history. He has proven that his jump shot is unstoppable in any zone on the court, which has helped him to become a four-time scoring champion and two-time champion.

After falling short to the Milwaukee Bucks, Durant will lead the charge in the hopes of bringing an NBA Championship to Brooklyn. On the way, his three-point shooting will be a devastating problem for any team that has to face the Nets.

Durant’s main priority is not the long-range bombs, as he is more of an all-around scorer. His badges and attributes in NBA 2K22 prove that he doesn’t have any holes in his shooting game. His four Hall of Fame badges are of the shooting variety, which are Blinders, Deadeye, Hot Zone Hunter, and Sniper. Furthermore, Durant still has 17 additional finishing, shooting, and playmaking badges.

Joe Ingles (3PT 88)

Overall Rating: 80
Position: SF/SG
Team: Utah Jazz
Archetype: 2-Way 3PT Facilitator
Best Stats: Shot IQ 95, Close Shot 94, Three-Point Shot 88

Joe Ingles has been one of the key pieces behind the recent success of the Utah Jazz. This past season, Ingles’ role centered around coming off of the bench with Sixth Man of the Year Jordan Clarkson.

Despite being a two-way player, Ingles has also been accurate from beyond the arc, with the Jazz system revolving on a ton of three-point shot attempts. This season, Ingles will be looking to develop into an even more dangerous threat on both offense and defense to spur Utah deeper into the playoffs.

As a 6’8” small forward that could set up the offense, Ingles still excels in converting the long bombs. He has a total of seven shooting badges, which includes three Gold ones: Catch & Shoot, Set Shooter, and Slippery Off-Ball. Furthermore, his 88 three-point shot rating proves to be a tremendous attribute in 2K22.
