WWE 2K22 Sliders: Best Settings for Realistic Gameplay

Get a realistic experience in WWE 2K22 by using these gameplay slider settings.

After a hiatus to revamp the series, WWE 2K22 is back with smoother gameplay, a large roster, and a wide array of matches to play. However, for seasoned veterans of the series, the default settings may not prove to be any challenge. Some like to strike a good balance between difficulty and entertainment while others seek a more realistic game.

Below, you will find sliders geared toward a more realistic play of WWE 2K22. It’s based on how matches tend to play out in WWE.

WWE 2K22 sliders explained – what are sliders?

WWE 2K22 sliders are the settings that dictate everything that happens in matches – aside from MyFaction, which has its own difficulty setting built in – from the grappling success rate of opposing wrestlers to how often run-ins occur. Essentially, they govern your gameplay experience, and by tinkering with the defaults and presets, you can create a realistic experience.

These are the four slider menus that can be altered:

  1. Presentation sliders: These settings affect what you see on-screen as you play the game and engage in matches.
  2. Balancing sliders: These settings will affect the move-to-move gameplay more than any of the other four slider settings. This includes the frequency of A.I. actions. Note that the settings are on a 100-point scale except for Run-Ins, which are on a ten-point scale.
  3. Gameplay: These options affect mainly the ancillary settings like the pin mini-game or the presence of blood.
  4. Targeting sliders: These settings affect how to target opposing players, managers, and even referees.

To change the sliders in WWE 2K22:

Lastly, the sliders above are based on normal singles and tag team matches. Participating in Hell in a Cell is going to take more stamina and longer to regain vitality than a normal singles match, so you may need to adjust the sliders before playing to reflect the type of match.

When watching a WWE match, you’ll see more standing strikes reversed than standing grapples. Ground strikes and grapples are generally reversed at a lower rate. Signatures and Finishers are rarely reversed and when they are, it’s usually during a big match or in a heated feud. One of the most frustrating things on the Default settings is just how often the A.I. will reverse these attacks.

Wrestlers seem to be in tremendous shape and many can work long matches, which accounts for the stamina sliders. Wrestlers who are stunned, especially in multi-person or multi-team matches, will stay stunned for long periods, usually resting on the outside. However, in most normal matches, it’s usually to regroup – as long as the opponent doesn’t chase them down.

Tinker further if you’d like. You may prefer the damage scaling to be even more intense for a bigger challenge, for example. Regardless, these sliders are the best place to start for a realistic gameplay experience in WWE 2K22.
