Who are the most expensive players in FIFA 22?

These superstars have been chosen based on their outright value in FIFA 22, with the highest-valued players featured in this article.

At the bottom of the article, you will find a full list of all of the most expensive players in FIFA 22.

1. Kylian Mbappé (£166.5 million)

Team: Paris Saint-Germain
Age: 22
Overall: 91
Potential: 95
Wage: £195,000 p/w
Best Attributes: 97 Acceleration, 97 Sprint Speed, 93 Finishing

Kylian Mbappé is the most expensive player on FIFA 22 Career Mode. The cover star of the latest edition of FIFA is nothing short of a global superstar and rightfully earns his place at the top of this list.

Mbappé is everything that you could ever want from a striker; with 93 finishing, 92 agility, and 88 composure, you can be sure that he will create chances by himself and when he is through on goal, he will most likely be celebrating after he gets his shot away. Possessing 93 dribbling, 91 ball control, and five-star skill moves, Mbappé will be running rings around the opposition with very little chance of them being able to contain him.

Mbappé’s contract is due to expire 12 months into your FIFA 22 Career Mode save, so you may well be able to sign the young Frenchman on a free transfer. Don’t count on this, though, as all of the top clubs around the world will be battling it out for the 22-year-old’s signature.

2. Erling Haaland (£118 million)

Team: Borussia Dortmund
Age: 20
Overall: 88
Potential: 93
Wage: £94,000 p/w
Best Attributes: 94 Sprint Speed, 94 Finishing, 94 Shot Power

Coming in as the second-most valuable player on the list, as well as being paid the lowest wage of £94,000 per week, is Norwegian striker Erling Haaland.

The 20-year-old is already a complete forward. Capable of scoring from anywhere on the pitch, his 87 long shots, 88 volleys, 89 positioning, and 88 reactions make this wonderkid a danger to every team in FIFA 22.

Born in Leeds, Haaland moved to Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund from RB Salzburg in January 2020 for a fee of just £18 million. Since then, the sensational striker has managed to score 68 goals in 67 games for The Yellow Submarine, along with 19 assists. The Norwegian international has a potential rating of 93 in FIFA 22 and will only improve with age.

3. Harry Kane (£111.5 million)

Team: Tottenham Hotspur
Age: 27
Overall: 90
Potential: 90
Wage: £200,000 p/w
Best Attributes: 94 Att. Position, 94 Finishing, 92 Reactions

Captain of his country and talisman of his boyhood club, Harry Kane has come a long way since getting very few minutes when he was sent on-loan to then-Championship club Norwich City. Earning £200,000 per week he is the third-most valuable player on FIFA 22 Career Mode.

A true goalscorer, Kane has proven again and again that he lives and breathes goals. With 94 finishing, 91 shot power, 91 composure, and 86 long shots, whether he is shooting around the box, outside of the box, inside of the box, or from the spot, Harry Kane will score goals.

Despite attempts from Manchester City to take The Lillywhites’ prized player away in the summer, Harry Kane remains at Tottenham. With a value of £111.5 million, it will take an astronomical bid for the Londoners to sell their talisman. However, if you manage to get an offer for him accepted, you will undoubtedly be getting one of the best strikers on FIFA 22.

4. Neymar (£111 million)

Team: Paris Saint-Germain
Age: 29
Overall: 91
Potential: 91
Wage: £230,000 p/w
Best Attributes: 96 Agility, 95 Dribbling, 95 Ball Control

A player who doesn’t need an introduction, it is only every so often that a player like Neymar comes along. With his entertaining skill moves and dribbling ability, it’s not a surprise that the generational talent receives £230,000 per week from his club.

Capable of running at defences with great speed thanks to his 96 agility, 93 acceleration, 89 sprint speed, not only is Neymar fast, but his 95 dribbling, 95 ball control, and 84 balance make it incredibly frustrating to try and tackle the Brazilian.

Using Neymar in FIFA 22 is unique. Not only do you get all of these great dribbling attributes, but you can also utilise his five-star skill moves and Acrobat traits to create some truly remarkable FIFA moments.

Since joining Paris Saint-Germain from Barcelona, Neymar hasn’t managed to achieve his goal of winning another Champions League title, but now that former team-mate Lionel Messi has arrived in Paris, things could be about to change.

5. Kevin De Bruyne (£108 million)

Team: Manchester City
Age: 30
Overall: 91
Potential: 91
Wage: £300,000 p/w
Best Attributes: 94 Short Passing, 94 Vision, 94 Crossing

Labelled as the “complete footballer” by manager Pep Guardiola, Kevin De Bruyne is truly a superstar. Earning the highest wages on this list, the Belgian midfielder takes home a staggering £300,000 per week at Manchester City.

Capable of playing as an attacking midfielder or sitting further back on the pitch, De Bruyne has stats that other midfielders can only dream of. With 94 vision, 94 short passing, 94 crossing, 93 long passing, and 85 curve, there isn’t a pass that Kevin De Bruyne can’t make. Capable of playing long balls over the top, or nifty defence-splitting through balls, the 30-year-old is a must in any FIFA 22 Career Mode – if you can afford him.

Securing his signature will not be easy, and coughing up the wage demands of the three-time Premier League champion will certainly burn a hole in even the deepest of pockets. However, if you do manage to raise the funds to sign De Bruyne, you will be rewarded with one of the best passers of the ball that the game has ever seen.

6. Frenkie de Jong (£103 million)

Team: FC Barcelona
Age: 24
Overall: 87
Potential: 92
Wage: £180,000 p/w
Best Attributes: 91 Short Passing, 90 Stamina, 90 Composure

Securing his dream move to Barcelona in the summer of 2019 from boyhood club Ajax, Frenkie de Jong has established himself as one of the best midfielders on the planet and warrants his £103 million value.

With plenty of time to improve and a 92 potential rating to achieve, the young Dutch midfielder already has a lot going for him. In FIFA 22, De Jong has 91 short passing, 89 ball control, 88 dribbling, 87 long passing, and 86 vision. The Arkel-native is a natural at collecting the ball and creating chances for his team: a vital role to fill in FIFA 22 due to the often quick turnaround of possession.

Featuring 99 times for Blaugrana, it will cost a lot of money to pry De Jong from the Catalan giants in FIFA 22 Career Mode. Still, if successful, you will be securing the long-term success of your team by being able to build around this Dutch star.

7. Robert Lewandowski (£103M million)

Team: Bayern Munich
Age: 32
Overall: 92
Potential: 92
Wage: £230,000 p/w
Best Attributes: 95 Att. Position, 95 Finishing, 93 Reactions

A player who is a living legend, Robert Lewandowski breaks records on a yearly basis and scores goals regardless of who he plays for. It doesn’t come as a surprise that he is one of the highest-paid players on FIFA with £230,000 per week wages.

A master at finding the back of the net with 95 positioning, 95 finishing, 90 shot power, 90 heading, 89 volleys, and 87 long shots, the Polish forward is built to score goals. Whilst he may not be the quickest player in this list, even at the age of 32, he’s not a slouch and will likely surprise you with his 79 sprint speed, 77 acceleration, and 77 agility

After breaking Gerd Müller’s record with 41 goals in a single campaign last season, Lewandowski has proven yet again that he is still at the top of the game. Adding this current Best FIFA Men’s Player winner to your team in FIFA 22 Career Mode will add nothing but goals.
